Any Kiwis in here or All Blacks fans? I was browsing B'notes directory and came

across All Blacks. All Blacks?! It's listed in the co. directory but no reviews on their scent.

I went to their website and found nothing. I was not aware ruggers made their own scents, do they still manufacturer this scent and if so has anyone tried it, any good?

Well, I'm sure one of my friends from across the ditch will correct me if necessary - but the Basenotes directory says this was discontinued after one year of production.

I'm very confident I don't want to smell like a rugby team - certainly not straight after the match anyway.

Rather wait for SA rugby to release the "Springbok".

You know it wont cause you "choke", and will smell of success. Kinda golden, like the world cup trophy.

We'll see what happens later this year :P

I haven't seen this stuff around, sounds interesting...

Uh-oh, did I start some International Rugby fan "show-down"?
Being a U.S. national I can't say much about the Eagles especially when they lose to Tonga early on.
Will the Z'Landers in here start a Haka chant?

hahaha

Well, we should take the prize provided the South Africans don't food poison us (re 1995), the Australians don't cheat and we don't come up against the French whom we choke against. Just playing :P

Need to think about what a good fragrance to wear around world cup time will be.

"When you play against the All Blacks you are playing the best team in the world. Always." - David Campese

I agree entirely, but one win from 6 World Cups having been runaway favourites in 4 of them, well, I'd suggest Full Choke by Smalto fits the bill thus far!

The All Blacks should win it this year, but perhaps a bit more humility wouldn't go amiss this time.

lol odioustoile . Tonga is a good team.

I wish the;
French would revert back to their running game!
Welsh make a come back to the sort of form they held for a generation.
Scotland too beat England from time to time.
England to get their game together as a team to lead the world.
Ireland to show the rest of the world how rugby should be played.
Italy to play a forward game.
Australia to dominate world rugby without a 'chip on its shoulder".
New Zealand to set the standards that every other team hopes to make.
United States has all the ingredients for 'world champions" but no national recognition or support.
lol...

Ok lets have a little game between ourselves.

Rules of the game.

1. You represent the flag of your BaseNotes profile.
2. You nominate your teams SCENT.
3. You give a brief as to why? It could be playing style, national emblem or even about the team bus or a sponsor etc....
4. Do not be too serious and have fun doing it.

OVER to THE FLOOR.

As an aside, in 2007 I started a rugby thread in off topic for that world cup.

In 2007 I wore Ambre Sultan every Springbok matchday. Will be doing the same this year.

By the way kccparis.

How is Chabal looking. Will he be in the squad this world cup. He was my favourite non SA player, because he played like an SA player, just flattening anything that moved. He was the "face" for Caron PuH in 2008! (Scary thought)

I'd love to play, but I can't see any fragrances called "second rate" for England!

As it happens, I'm watching Super Rugby at the moment, and I just wish that Northern Hemisphere rugby was played like that.

One of the most delicate moments in my life ever was with my father, being the only true poms in an Aussie pub in Sydney watching the final England v. Australia. In the last dieing seconds of the game with Australia leading, England were awarded a penalty kick to be taken by a Johnny Wilkinson.

That '03 England side was phenomenal. Clive Woodward spent 7 years building that side. As much as we not overly fond of England rugby here, that side was liked by south africans because of the incredible forward pack and their style of play.

I played rugby for one season till I hurt my back in the early 90's and right now only watch it once in a while when I go to the local Brit Pub here in San Diego CA so I would not know how to describe the U.S. style. I just hope more U.S. citizens can get into this great sport, great comraderie!

Hopefully the U.S. will not get bounced out early for the World Championship next time around.

My French Selection for the World Cup Squad Scent.

Vierges & Toreros (2007) from Etat Libre d'Orange by Perfumer: Antoine Lie / Antoine Maisondieu

Why?

Floral/Leathers with hard to soft notes crossing over with Blood with a strong accompanying animalistic vibe.
