Orange Blossom: Vero Profumo Rubj EDP or SL Fleurs d'Oranger

These seem to be orange blossom and jasmine with tuberose and cumin.

What are the similarities and differences? My deep thanks in advance.

After reading online about orange blossom , since im also interested, my understanding is that the SL FdO is one of the best OBs in the market. On my to try list this weekend.

Rubj is very sweet in parfum extrait Primrose - I'm not sure how it differs in the EDP . If I were going for orange blossom - it would be Sergie's - it's very orange blossom in comparison IMHO. ( Thanks for the sample Primrose - I see a great relation to 24 Faubourg and SL's Fleurs d'Oranger . )

I've not tried the Rubj, but I've tried the Serge Lutens Fleurs d'Oranger. I don't think it smells much like orange flowers as the name suggests. It is overflowing with indoles and a medicinal jasmine component with a thick, syrupy base as in most Serge Lutens. The ingredients are good, but far too sweet for me. The best orange blossoms to my mind are Czech & Speake Neroli and the all natural beauty, DSH Eau de Fleurs d'Oranger du Roi.

I have a bottle of the Lutens and a sample of Rubj Extrait. I have also tried the Rubj EdP.

To me the Rubj EdP and SL are most similar as the Rubj in this concentration include a great deal of passionfruit which adds a certain rotteness that is somewhat similar to the cumin/spices in the SL.

The Rubj Extrait is a little sweeter and cleaner, but still pretty dark and very glamourous. But most of all it is juicy. Like (over) ripe berries and sugar mixed together. I don´t think any of the Rubjs could be called Orange Blossom scents - they are far to red for that.
