What is that awesome smell of Dior Homme sport? it is kindof a linear frag i guess cos it is the same smell of it from the beginning to the end.. but awesome. Also do you know anything else that smells the same like it? (probably cheaper than dior )

im simply in love with it.. also it got some good longevity i guess...

To my nose, DHS's drydown is strikingly similar to Versace Eau Fraiche's. And the Versace can often be found at discounters like Ross and TJ Maxx. The Dior not so much. But DHS is definitely the superior fragrance!

Interesting as it doesn't seem to bother me in the least bit.

I'm not a fan of Dior Homme Sport's sharp citrus top notes, but once that settles down its ginger heart note shines. I still don't think I could endure its top notes -- that's preventing me from purchasing a bottle.

I believe its dominant citrus top note is lemon.

Smells like lemon peel or lemon/lime. If you like this try Voyage d'Hermes. Not as linear and is a lot smoother in the transitions.

I actually find Dior Homme Cologne much better.

The signature of Dior Homme is still there, but it is a refreshing, light, soft and subtle scent. The "lipstick" note is still there but is toned down, with an added citrus, less sweet, less powdery. Very fragrant. Leather drydown.

Ginger?

Sounds like a good one. I've been strictly a niche guy, but this sounds very nice indeed !l lemon, grapefruit, ginger = sounds like a buy might be in order !

It´s lemon/orange with ginger and some sandalwood in drydown. I love it as well, but it fades in 2 max 3 hours on my skin. I found Burberry Sport to be quite like DHS, but softer. The ginger note on Burberry´s concotion is more like the one on L´Eau par Kenzo Indigo. But again, Burberry lasts even less than Dior...

I loved that citrus/ginger combo. I was wondering if Serge Lutens offering (Five O´clock Gingembre) would fit the bill...

I tried Five O' clock Gingembre five or six times. Not a fav of mine. I dont think it's like Dior , imo.
