Hi
I'm going to make a 'perfume 101' thread on the Just Starting Out section that contains a lot of the basic information we all take for granted but in 1 place instead of in our heads our posted in lots of different threads. But I'd appreciate your input. At the moment this space of basenotes is rather empty and we always seem to get the same questions here, so I figured let's gather the wisdom in one spot and educate!
Some topics I can think of covering include
How to make good collection, what is a good collection?
How to apply perfume
What kinds of perfume are there (edt, edp, perfume)
How can I make a scent last longer
What types/genres/ classification of perfumes are there ( chypre, fougere etc)
Can I wear x,y,z?
Glossary terms such as flanker, classic, powerhouse etc
How do I hide my perfume collection from relatives? ( for the advanced just starting out readers)
Let me know if you have any answers, contributions, ideas for new topics that should be mentioned in this thread. Just think of general advice you'd give to new basenoters.
