I'd go with APOM - and I have, with a bottle sitting quite nicely in my cupboard which gets used quite often! It's perfect for warm weather but interesting too - not just you're stock standard citrus or soapy thing that can get a bit boring after a while. I've also got a decant of Neroli Portofino which doesn't get much wear. I don't hate it but it definitely has that citrus, soapy vibe. Work mates have described it as smelling like sanitary products (?) and bathroom cleaning products. But hey, what do they know?

Of the two, APOM. I didn't care for NP. Too synthetic and strident which gets annoying.

Not a fan of either but if I had to pick one, I'd go with the first one.

APOM is outstanding.

They are quite different, although they share the neroli note. Where APOM is kind of warmer, sort of middle eastern-vibe, Neroli Portofino is fresher, mediterranean, and the neroli note comes across more sparkling. That said, APOM is far more interesting than NP, although slightly more intense (read: cloying when over applied!)

Tried both of these in the last few days.

APOM is light orange blossom scent that is softened and warmed down with amber and cedar. It doesn't have neroli at all but approximates many of neroli notes with orange flower, and wood basenotes. APOM is a soft understated almost powdery skin scent. I may pick up a bottle of this someday - I like it that much, but it wasn't so great as to have me scrambling to spend money for it right now.

Neroli Portofino is citrus + orange flower + neroli that is bright and sunny. N Portofino is sunny, bright, and jumps off the skin with radiance all around while retaining the round warm woody characteristic of neroli. I liked it but not as much as other neroli fragrances around (Czech & Speake Neroli or Cologne Sologne). NP reminds me of a summery neroli version as Sel d' Vetiver is a summery version of Vetiver.

Both these fragrances are kind of expensive for a good everyday fragrance. One is soft, subtle, and shy; the other is sunny, bright and outgoing.

Absolutely, positively APOM.

They're different. Even if they were similar APOM is much nicer.
Francis is truly talented.

I also prefer APOM pour homme

You wouldn't be disappointed with either of them. APOM was the one I ended up purchasing.
