how do you say if a particular scent is alcohol based or oil based? are the designer fragrances which you can find in the malls or online are alcohol or oil based? example: Givenchy, Dior, Ysl, Versace, etc. thanks!

if the carrier is alcohol, they are alcohol based.
it is unlikely to find oil based fragrances. assume they are all alcohol based unless the bottle is small, comes with a dabber/roller instead of spray and it says oil on it.
