This is nice. I picked it up a while ago after going through an Efdemin binge. The vocalist sounds so much like Tom Wilkinson. Do you know if it's being sampled from some movie he was in?

Not sure. I thought it sounded like John Glover (actor) but maybe you're right, it does sort of sound like Tom Wilkinson.

The Art of Dying Alone by bvdub

I didn't like this, the first time I heard it, but repeated listenings have grown on me and now I thoroughly enjoy it.

I've been enjoying Panzerballet a lot these past couple days. I like their way of deconstructing what they cover, and churning it through a few different styles.

^ That is pretty cool!

Radio Slave - DJ Set for Forever Fabric on Proton Radio (November 04, 2009)

Fun-filled hour with loads of tribal tech-house courtesy of Matt Edwards and Rekids. A little commerical sounding in terms of house music, but sounds awesome on a nice summer day.

Fragments of Fear mixed by Quiet Village

I'm feeling happy that someone reposted this performance on Youtube; it's much better than any of the CD recordings I've heard of it. Though it probably won't appeal to many who aren't already familiar with modernist classical, it's filled with a lot of interesting moods and textures; Susannah Malkki really brings out the passion here.

Oh so deep house. Very crisp, precise and yet...soft. Lovely.

I love the eerie, wandering mood of much of Gesualdo's work. This series of recordings up on Youtube are excellent.

I discovered the quote is from a New York based artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat, a friend of Warhol. Sadly, he passed away due to a heroin overdose at the age of 27. A biography/film was done of him in 1996, simply titled Basquiat, and the narrator of the film is Tom Wilkinson, which was used on the record.

This again. I remember listening in 2009, when this came out, thinking "Wow, this sucks!". But now I adore quite a few of the tracks. Funny how tastes change.
