Encre Noire EDP: how is this possible??

I was browsing my local winner's (discount store, not sure the equivalent in the us).

Ended up at the fragrance aisle and behold: encre noire in edt and EDP!

The crazy thing is, the EDP was priced at $50?? edt was $40.

I was reading reviews and it seems that the EDP fetches a high price.

I'm 99% sure theyre authentic since the store is a reputable discount chain that only sells new items.

Thinking of getting the EDP if it's real. Can anyone help authenticate it via pictures?

The reason why the EdP is so expensive is because the bottle was some type of super expensive crystal. If Lalique decided to use the regular EdT bottle for the EdP, then it's quite possible that the price would be very reasonable...

The ones you have pictured are Encre Noire pour Elle, which is a different fragrance. You can tell by the font.

Pour femme:


The EdP of standard Encre Noire only comes in the lalique bottle with a lacquered box.

Glad I checked or else I would have gotten the wrong one.

Ended up getting the EDT.

a good price for the EDT. I love that stuff. Might have to check in at some of the local winners here tomorrow.

Ya, that EDP version is the women's Encre Noire, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, the men's EDP comes in a genuine Lalique crystal bottle and that's why it's around $700-800. The bottle itself isn't a perfect cube like the EDT. It's more flat.
