Le Vainqueur by Rance - A&F Fierce?

I had the pleasure of receiving a sample of this scent from the Perfume House recently and I loved it, but as I continue to wear it I can't help but think it smells like something from Abercrombie and Fitch or Hollister.

Your thoughts? Please tell me I'm wrong.

Put it away for a few weeks and sample it then. Your impressions might change.

I haven't smelled Fierce, but I have Le Vainqueur. It's like melons with some musk.

Le Vainqueur is more the illegitimate lovechild of Quercus and Helmut Lang EDC.
I don't find it particularly similar to A&F.

Incidentally, LV is my wife's no.1 pick for me.... when I wear it, she's all "pfwwwooooooar"!!!

Received the Rance scent in a sample with a purchase from Luckyscent. Nothing special IMO and not similar to me either.
