What's your favorite Pepper Fragrance

Thread Starter
Alright guys, I actually really like Marc Jacobs Bang! and recently tried Burberry The Beat only to be disappointed by it's lack of pepper after what I've heard about it. Anyone have some good alternatives that may be of better quality (this includes better longevity) but very similar to bang? I don't think I can afford something like Hermessence Poivre Samarcande but I'm still open to niche suggestions that are a little more modestly priced.

Thanks

You should try Molton Brown Black Pepper EDT; they also do a shower gel/body wash - use the two together for excellent results!

I do like Villoresi's Piper Nigrum and Malle's Noir Epices

Wholeheartedly second Noir Epices.
My current favourite is Van Cleef and Arpels Cologne Noire

Actually, Molton Brown's pepper offerings are pretty good.

sup volley2 talked to you a little bit in hiro's blogtv cast a few days ago. Thanks for the suggestions. Poivre Samarcande is a little out of my price range and I heard it doesn't really project or last that long to persuade me to buy it. Definitely gonna try out piper nigrum though

My favorite: Hermès Poivre Samarcande.

Hi JBarry! What's up!??!? You're right. Poivre Samarcande doesn't project much and doesn't last long. Good though. Piper Nigrum is black pepper all the way. Projects more than PS and last longer.

Might as well check out Bang! by Marc Jacobs.

I thought it was Piper Nigrum, which is a wonderful anise-tinged pepper frag. Then i got a sample of Shams by Memo: Amber Sultan laced with potent black pepper, so that is it for me, so far.

On days when i need low-key pepper, Eau de L'Occitan is great.

Poivre 23 Le Labo , its amazing stuff

Opus 1870 for sure & Piper Nigrum.

Burberry London (fabric covered bottle). The opening is all pepper to me. There is no real dry-down, so I just reapply for another pepper blast. Great fun, and cheap.

Bought a small jar from a supermarket sometime ago. Smells really nice. Can't remember the exact name. 'Ragu' or something...

Or maybe "Cacio e Pepe"? LOL

I'm wearing Burberry the Beat for Men today, and it's really more like Rochas Lui to me. It's going to be 100 degrees here today and it's working really well so far. Good little scent for $19.99 (clearance at Target). Glad I bought it!

The best pepper fragrance i've ever smelt in my humble opinion is Bang by Marc Jacobs by far. Sorry.

Burberry -- The Beat

I wasn't too crazy when I first tried it out, which I remember was near the end of the summer months. Something came over me and I gave it a try on a cold snowy day, and I suddenly loved it. I'd give it a shot again in the cold weather months.

Spezie by Villoresi

Spezie by Lorenzo Villoresi is an Aromatic Spicy fragrance for men. It was launched in 1994. The nose behind this fragrance is Lorenzo Villoresi. Top notes are coriander, eucalyptus, cypress, bay leaf, green notes, mint and cardamom; middle notes are nutmeg, caraway, fir, cinnamon, pepper, juniper, caraway and cloves; base notes are rosemary, oakmoss, sage, heliotrope and tomato leaf.

Piper Nigrum.

Declaration by Cartier smells fresh and crisp as a pepper should, and shouldn't be too expensive. I got my bottle for $30.

poivre 23 by Le Labo is the best

How True, i love the rude pepper in this frag.

actually - if you in for a slightly differen take - it will be nice to have Lalique White - there pepper here is very obedient but its there and matches up well with the tamarind - sour-pepper; if you must.

Opus 1870 (Penhaligon's). Also a good provocateur to be used against those who are fragrance-sensitive. I love it when people in my proximity have to start sneezing because of it. Lately some broad complained loudly about "whad is dat collllogne"? Well, busted! However, the sneezing and tears in her eyes were all her's.

Bang so far. Need to try Piper Nigrum still. Poivre 23 makes me ill. I would rather wear Deet.

We both have the same taste in fragrances give or take a few frags and I would be surprised if you like it. You gotta sample it though just for the fun factor. It really does smell like medicated cream or Tiger Balm that I have used.lol
