Tempted to buy Escentric 01, but...

... I wonder if there's anything of similar composition that I should try out before getting Schoen-enated. Thus far I've resigned to check out the following:

Atelier Cologne - Bois Blonds
Nasomatto - Silver Musk
Dolce & Gabanna - Light Blue pour femme

Do you have any further suggestions of similarly transparent, woody-incensey fragrances?

Hi there

while I quite like (and own) Escentric01 I also bleieve it to be definitely overpriced. Maybe you could check Jubilation XXV and Bois D'Ombrie. They're both expensive as well but IMO they're definitely more satisfying and "unique".

I'm working my way through a 2ml sample of Escentric 01 right now... I don't mind the price and scent itself is satisfying for the first five minutes or so... but then the cirtusy-orrisy top collapses and it's down to the Iso-E Super, which I can't smell after a while. I know that others can, however, and I just wish I could enjoy it's full profile longer. It's one of those few fragrances that have caused people to grab my collar and say "ooh you smell good!" ... which isn't the affect I go for, but find amusing nonetheless.

I personally don't have this problem. I mean, I can smell Iso E Super and therefore I fully appreciate Escentric 01. Bu if by any chance I wouldn't be able to smell it, I surely would define the fragrance as "unsatisfying" being personal pleasure the main reason of wearing a fragrance. I'm honestly only partial interested in other people's compliments.
