U2 concert and guess what fragrance I wore.

Just got back in Florida from the U2 concert in St.Louis a couple of days ago and had a great time. One of if not the best I've been to and it was much better than the Zoo TV tour back in 92. Took me a couple of days to recover
I'm guessing this will be an easy one, but what fragrance did I wear to the concert? Not that it mattered because it was over 100 degrees, but I did get a complement and a smile from a couple of cougars groupies that thought it was appropriate.

It's not dirty, but I think you have it.

I would of guessed it would have been Green Irish Tweed.

What a tour. Incredible stage, and sound.

Oddly enough I was just looking at Dirty English today. First time I've actually smelled it. I was already wearing something otherwise I would have tried it on the skin, but I actually was pleasantly surprised by it. Not at all as "dirty" as I was expecting (or hoping), but something I'm going to to try out in the near future. Interestingly enough in Japan, one of the points that the SA was bringing up was how "cute" the bottle looked. Totally different world. :P

Green Irish Tweed would be the one. Yeah it was something I wasn't going to miss. I missed the Rattle and Hum tour which in my opinion was the best of U2. I have some pictures I'll post later of the stage being set up that I took from our hotel room. It was so big that it barely fit into the stadium.

I've seen U2 three times. Rattle and Hum, Vertigo and 360 (current). I wore GIT to Vertigo, and I wore Antidote to 360. I bet I wore Kouros to Rattle & Hum, can't recall exactly.

I'd say you wore GIT!

I saw the Rattle and Hum tour in Lexington KY when I was about 20. Great show, the Bodeans opened up. Bono's voice was shot that night, though, he was real rough. I'm thinking about putting "Streets" on my next project. My fave U2 tune and my 15-year old son is to the point where he could play it on his Strat.

Interpol opened for them in St.Louis. They sounded good, but I think the heat cut down the set list. Streets was an encore and they rocked it. Was hoping for Bullet the Blue Sky but I knew if they didn't play it early they wouldn't play it. Bad is another one I was hoping for. If you son has streets down he's pretty much got it. That's one of the most layer songs that The Edge plays.

Muse opened for them in Atlanta, and I was very impressed. I knew nothing about them going in, and they blew my socks off! Now they're one of my favorite bands.

My son sounds great on Bad. It was one of the first songs he learned. He also plays trumpet.

I love Bullet the Blue Sky. It's cool when Bono goes into his evangelist voice "and he's peeling off those dollar bills...slapping them down...ONE HUNDRED! TWO HUNDRED!"

Saw them around 10 years ago, PJ Harvey opened.

My fave U2 song is "Stay (Far Away, So Close)". It's Bono's as well.

Yeah, Stay has a really cool vibe to it. Kind of "shimmery".

Saw them a couple months ago, and yup, the 360 tour is wonderful! Was pleasantly surprised to hear Zooropa, Hold me thrill me kiss me kill, and All I want is you during the show. Glad you enjoyed it as well, and that I wasn't the only person who put a bit of thought into what I was going to wear to the show. I ended up going with Bang, figuring it was fitting for a concert in slightly cool weather.

Hmmm, something Irish?

I am thinking Patrick by Innis.

Greatest live band on the world stage at the moment. Bar none.

Not Tommy Hilfiger LOUD, the new scent of rock and roll which speaks to youth in an unprecedented way by fusing scent with music in a way that has never been seen before!? [/snark]

I've looked for the perfect fragrance to wear to a U2 concert... But I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

I would've worn "Kiss Him" by Kiss. Because, you know, screw U2.

Ungaro II?

I'm guessing CK In2U just for the dyslexic nod to the band.

Went to the show at the meadowlands last night and it was awesome, almost 3 hours long and bono said he felt like he was going to faint by the end but still stuck around to play an extra song for the tired hot and weary crowd, out of control! Went with Dior homme intense

Here's a couple of pictures of the stage:

This one was from my hotel room and the second is in front of the stadium.

Great pics!

Awesome pics.

They really get one thinking of the engineering that was involved to suspend all the equipment above the stage to provide the 360 experience

Thanks Chuck. Up in the hotel where I took the picture from when they were doing sound checks I had a drink on the sill next to the window and it was vibrating back and forth. Was also setting off car alarms.

GIT. I saw U2 at a large stadium show in 1992. Best show I've ever attended. It even beat Bob Dylan & the Foo Fighters acoustic set and those KISS concerts I used to attend when I was in middle school. Hey, you've gotta start somewhere. The question is, which fragrance did Bono wear during the show? My guess is that by the time the show at the Meadowlands ended, he smelled like Kouros.

Poison Dior

I too was guessing the Irish fragrance co. which makes Patrick and Inis.
