So how much did you drop and more importantly did you like?

for me: Pure Malt for retail and I love it.

100usd on Tom Ford Arabian Wood. Hated cause last 4 hours with no sillage.
Mine is four fold!

TF Tobacco Vanille and Neroli Portofino last month and this month TF Oud Wood and Italian Cypress, all at £120 each.

Love them all...

I bought 2x Davidoff "Relax" 2.5 oz (75 ml) as it is aaaaaaalmost extinct here in Europe for about 60 euros each. Probably old bottles but they smell (both) like they are new and I am really happy with them. Will use them not that often so I can enjoy them for about 5 years at least.

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. Fell in love at first sniff.... I'm on my second full bottle and I am still in love with TV.

Amouage Homage at £160 and I loved the smell. To feminine though so I gave it to my girlfriend, and I still get to smell it but just not on me.

I blind bought 250ml of Dior's Cologne Blanche - and hated it!
I then blind swapped it to, among other frags, HdP 1804, which
I also hated! *tsk tsk tsk*

$550 for Spice and Wood. My biggest disappointment at ANY price. Luckily, I was able to recoup most of my investment on the sales board.

60 on L'instant Extreme. Well worth it IMO.
$75 on L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme...and love it.
$225 on my first Vol de Nuit vintage extrait.

The best money Ive ever spent.

€75 each, plus shipping, for Knize Two and Knize Sec. Knize's masculine offerings may not be the most extensive, numerous, or accessible, but all four are well worth the price.

135 dollars on Aventus. I'm ok with it
Gosh, I can't remember... maybe a bottle of Cuir Ottoman? Not anything too outrageous, it's still in my collection and I still enjoy it.

I could see myself easily pulling the trigger on SL Tubereuse Criminelle only because the reviews make it sound peculiar enough that I'd really like it, but I'll probably try it first.

Sometimes a good blind buy can be thrilling!

$170, Green Irish Tweed. Worth it.
Amouage Homage at around $300. LOVE it!

$290, Le Labo Gaiac 10. Best decision ever. It's a scent that is 100% my style.
$190..Noir de Noir. Great decision. Too many of mine have been blind buys, but I've been lucky so far that I've enjoyed most of them..

Le Labo Santal 33 - blind bought 100ml. Loved it. $160
Blind bought Pure Malt - hated it. Gifted(SaintPaulia lol) it away. $70
Aventus & Azure Lime. Not a blind buy per se. More of a blind gift. A friend brought them back for me.
Iris Pallida - $115 - loved it
L'Air du desert marocain - $125 - loved it
Paestum Rose $120 - loved it
L'Anonyme ou OP-1475-A - $25 - loved it

Musc Ravageur - $240 - loved it
Santal Noble - $140 (vintage)

$230 on Xerjoff's 1861. Hasn't arrived yet, but I'm optimistic. (And just my luck, I see a bottle is already for sale in the Marketplace for a substantial savings. Dammit.)

Best Blind Buy = Homage (Amouage).
Tobacco Vanille and Noir de Noir at £160 each

I would not take risks usually over a certain dollar amount, but my most expensive blind buy without officially sampling? I 'd have to say $80 for Chanel Pour Monsieur (non concentree, which I do love) 3.4 oz . I figured it would be a safe bet as I enjoy many of the other Chanels owned and sampled, plus others from the 60s and 70s.

CPM definitely shouts another era.

around $120 after taxes and shipping on a 50ml bottle of Black Aoud. Found it to be an incredible scent, however, one that I really couldn't wear. Worked out very well for me, though, because I ended up trading it for a bottle of Pure Malt and I love that fragrance.

Pretty sure the most I ever dropped on a blind buy was $75 for Opium Pour Homme EDP.

EDIT: Just remembered I blind bought a couple Lutens (Chene and Fille en Aiguilles) at $112 apiece. They were worth it.

Black Tourmaline for $180 and loved it.
Creed Bois Du Portugal for full retail - in Australia! My daughter hated it and said I smelled like an old folks home I wasn't that fond of it either, although I can kind of appreciate it - just not wear it.
Been in the cupboard for a couple of years now.......... I'll try it again sometime.

So - did you like it?

Haven't bought many blind myself. Guess for me it would be Fumerie Turque; I was pleased.
L'eau D'issey Pour homme. 80 bucks. I think I overapplicated and lemon obliterated my nose. Will try again tomorrow.
