Tom Ford Candle

Thread Starter
This afternoon I went and picked up a Tom Ford Oud Wood candle from NM after enjoying the fragrance for the past month on and off (recent summer evenings are about the only time i've been using it.)

The glass is nice... you can barely see 'TF' screened onto the glass jar. The wax is very clean burning and it melts evenly so you do not 'tunnel'. I keep the wick trimmed and it seems to make a real difference.

The fragrance is wonderful and a fairly accurate representation of the notes that represent Oud Wood - I'm not sure it's identical, but a nice likeness for home fragrance.

I have enclosed a photo.

Looks lovely.

Thanks for sharing.
I'd suggest Diptyque if you would like a greater variety on candle scent types.

Thanks for sharing! I didn't know Tom Ford had candles, now I'm dreaming of a Moss Breches candle...

I have the Tobacco Vanille candle and absolutely love it! Word of advice though, keep the wick trimmed as you said, and only burn it for around 30mins at a time. I don't think a lot of SA's realise that they are only meant to be burnt for a short period of time to, I guess you could say "activate" the fragrance oils within the candle, as they continue to give off fragrance LONG after being blown out. I keep mine on a bookshelf in my study when not in use and every time I walk past the bookshelf I get strong wafts of Tobacco Vannile even when it hasn't been burnt for several weeks, and on a warm day it will fill the study entirely with the scent without even burning it.

Here in Australia they are only available in very limited quantities around Christmas. This Christmas there will be 2 new Tom Ford Private Blend candles, Neroli Portofino in Turquoise glass packaging, and White Suede in white glass packaging. The "TF" screened onto the glass has also been made much larger and more prominent. Anyone interested in one of these new candles I would suggest making it known now to your TF SA, my counter isn't receiving them until end of November and we already have a waiting list.

That's good to know. I had it in my head that they only produced Tuscan Leather & Oud Wood candles - I'm sure they're all that are currently available in the UK.

I've had two TF candles and was disappointed both times with the throw. If I put my nose within two or three inches of the flame, it smelled quite nice, but that was about it. I was hoping the first time I just got a bad batch, but sadly, that wasn't the case.
