one of my friends told me aBout guerlain - homme intense
he says there's a note there that Bothers him and its kind of dominant,
he think it is geranium

there is no way i can try it Before i Buy it
so it has to Be a Blind Buy

i think geranium is a note that makes fragrances smell more mature
But i wanna Be sure of how a fragrance with heavy geranium smells like

tha fragrances i've smelled, had, or have in my collection are this:
versace - pour homme
prada - amBer pour homme
ysl - kouros
calvin klein - eternity
viktor and rolf - antidote
ralph lauren - polo Blue
ralph lauren - polo green
givenchy - xeryus rouge
paco raBanne - pour homme
yves saint laurent - jazz
cartier - santos
ralph lauren - polo sport
cartier - declaration essence
gucci - noBile (im wearing this right now)
ysl - pour homme
hugo Boss - dark Blue

can someBody tell me please what fragrance of this list is the most heavy in geranium?

thanx in advance

How come you always use a capital B ?

Geranium usually smells bitter and aromatic. Most all of the fragrances yo mentioned list geranium among their notes but I think none of them is representative enoguh of the note (maybe with the exception of Xeryus Rouge). I'd suggest to smell Sisley's Eau De Campagne and Geranium Pour Monsieur to have a better idea.

To me it's a bitter herbal green scent with a touch of lemon.

First you get an idea of what it smells like by getting some Geranium essential oil. It's cheap and easy to find. There are different kinds of geranium but in general it's a great and uplifting scent that sort of minty-rosy-sweet and musty-fruity-green. These are a few good places to smell it in fragrances:

Terre d'Hermes
Aramis 900 (vintage)
Paco Rabanne pour Homme
Loewe para Hombre (vintage)
No. 88
Geranium Bourbon (Miller Harris)
Geranium Pour Monsieur

Geranium is used fairly extensively to bolster the rose notes in many fragrances so your friend may be detecting that use - where it is being used that way it should not be detectible as a separate note at all. Some people are ultra-sensitive to it though - and a few find it irritates them.

Geranium oil is quite cheap - why not buy a little and smell it directly? If there is somewhere near you that specialises in aromatherapy supplies you could probably get a good sniff without having to buy any. Either way that will help you recognise it in fragrances.

You have Jazz by YSL. In this fragrance it's clear for me. Or some similar fragrances. Maybe Zino, or Santos which you have it too. In these fragrances Geranium is in heart. And it smells Acrid/bitter/floral/velvet in drying down.

The Note Ident Project Thread for Geranium is:

http://www.basenotes.net/threads/231204-Geranium

And as mentioned there, Geranium Essential Oil is made from the leaves of the plant, because the flowers dont smell of much, so its going to smell very 'green', very 'botanical'. Just to add to the fun, different varieties of Geranium smell different, they all have this green smell but with Rose, Lemon, Mint etc. And as Pluran says, a lot of fragrances dont use Geranium Essential Oil, they use Geraniol manufactured with chemical processes.

A link from the Note Ident Project Thread goes here:

Very good answers there.

Try smelling Geranium Pour Monsieur if you can.

You had some good suggestions here, but know you have to tell us why you always use a capital B!
