Amazing High School Guy's Fragrance

I'm new to Basenotes and my collection is fairly new, too. When I first started reading and hearing about all the different scents out there I kind of blew through a lot of cash prematurely.
In my collection I have A*Men, Le Male, Burberry London, Burberry for Men, Thallium (Got ripped off bigggg time), Acqua di Gio, CK One Summer 2007, Versace Dreamer, a Body Spray of Polo Ralph Lauren Big pony Collection #3, and Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien.
I'm pretty sure that is waaay too much for a highschooler, and the one thing that I didn't think about was the age recommendation . All of these colognes except for maybe Acqua Di Gio and BPC #3 are way too old for me. So I was wondering if there was a really good high school cologne out there that I could wear year-round, and that nobody else is wearing.
I have read a lot of threads on this, and there are some colognes that I DON'T want to hear:
Chanel Allure Homme Sport
Cool Water
Lacoste Essential
Anything Calvin Klein
Anything Armani
Azzaro Chrome

Also, I don't want anything cheap and crappy. I want a cologne with good longevity, nice smelling, but doesn't suffocate people withing 3 feet of me. Please help a noobie out!

Where can you get montale colognes?

+1 for Boss Bottled (also known as Boss #6). Great stuff--I actually just ordered a bottle myself.

YSL Body Kouros and Burberry Brit...can both be found fairly cheap, but are definitely not crappy. Body Kouros is definitely less common than Brit, but it might be too similar to Le Male for you to consider buying a bottle.

And if price really isn't an issue and you want to reaaally stand out, check out Creed Aventus. If you apply correctly, I could easily see a high school kid pulling this off with great success.

What's wrong with Allure Homme Sport? Great stuff if you ask me and perfect for any age or season of the year.

If you can find it then try La Cologne Fleur du Male (the cologne version of Fleur du Male), more on the floral side but still manly and sexy. The fact that it has very limited exposure will make you more unique

Hugo Boss (the dark bottle, forget the name)
Le Male
1 Million (maybe a bit too strong)
Armani code
Aqua Di Gio
Cool water
The Dreamer
Tous Man Sport

Your attitude will render either of the 2 statements:

"wow X is so cool, and smells great".

"wow X is creepy, even his terrible cologne is still lingering".
So, do you not like all of the colognes you bought? Or just think they are "too old" for you? I dont get it. If you like them and bought them just wear what you have, none of them are too old for you or anyone else. Also keep reading and learning and sniffing. Check out everything everyone is recommending and whatever else you can get your hands on.
I think you misunderstand the age recommendation - something that's "for high-schoolers" generally means it's pleasant, common and available cheap. Because when a boy's just getting into fragrances, why bother recommending a whole bunch of rare and expensive things? Most teenagers just want to smell like everyone else anyway.

You don't need to downgrade your collection, especially if money is no object! I'd be sniffing more Annick Goutal if I were in your enviable shoes

Anyway, Aqua Di Gio, CK One and The Big Pony Collection #3 body spray are all what I would call high school scents.

My recommendations for some versatile inoffensive scents are:
Mugler cologne
Millésime Impérial
Aventus
Allure Homme Edition Blanche
L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme
D&G Pour Homme
La Nuit De L'Homme
Himalaya
212 men
Boss bottled

I go back to what I said first, Boss bottled just to let you know I have used 250ml of this, That is how much I like it used to be my only scent as I liked it best out of everything I had, had the big 200ml bottle too for a great price. About to purchase myself another bottle. Great signature and all year round.

I'm giving you recommendations based only on what you said in your original post and only fragrances that I own and know well. I think these would all be great, unique colognes for a high school student.

Bleu de Chanel--Classy, fresh-woody scent...good projection and longevity.

Dior Homme Sport--Awesome ginger citrus scent with an aquatic edge (one of my favorites). Great projection/longevity.

Hanae Mori H.M.--Lemon top with chocolate and vanilla....a year round gourmand, sweet but very nice. Girls will like it. Excellent projection and longevity.

Joop! Jump--A nice cologne with a young vibe to it...it's fruity and fresh and dries down to a nice amber tonka musk base. Good projection, good longeviy.

Of the group I'd recommend Dior Homme Sport and Bleu de Chanel first.

I agree on Hanae Mori, it's different enough from other designer scents to make it your signature scent, if that's what you want. It's versatile and youthful, and I think this is a better choice for you age than a very dramatic Mugler fragrance that will hang in the air for 30 minutes after you've left the room.

Inexpensive and unique. Good idea.

+1 Creed Green Irish Tweed

Also instead of blowing cash on Original Vetiver, try Mugler Cologne. Very similar, and high schoolers would never know the difference.

Finally, I'd make a major recommendation for Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Spray it on your skin, let it evolve. This is the youngest "mature" scent I've experienced. In other words, it's a very youthful scent but the complexities and uniqueness will really make you stand out. It is a bit of a controversial scent on this site, but the fact remains that it was a huge game changer for many collectors, and is worth a thorough try!

Please let us know what you end up liking!

I'm 15 and i have a lot of mature frags and i get compliments... but if your looking for an everyday fresh scent id go with either Bleu De Chanel or Acqua di Gio... Winter frags id go either Le Male or Burberry London
