Super Member?

What does it mean when I see "Super Member" under my user name?

I don't feel any more super since it started appearing. My sense of smell and exquisite taste are super, but that was true before I created my account.

Based on your number of posts... but you can consider yourself super!

I thought these classifications weren't used anymore.

But, yes, I believe the Super Member status goes along with getting the third star at 100 posts. If I remember correctly, you'll get a fourth star at 500 posts and a fifth star at 1000 posts. The Super Member status also changes to Basenotes Dependent or something like that. Assuming this system is still in place. I notice that many members have no status listed regardless of number of posts.

BTW, you can edit that bit of wordage on your profile page and change it to anything you want, as 30 Roses above has done.

I just noticed that I had become "super" as well, but as was mentioned above, there are others with more posts than me who seem not to qualify, for some unexplained reason. Perhaps it has to do with which software was in place at the time of the person's join date ?

As a relative newbie, there is still a lot of mystery for me surrounding all those various tribal symbols and notations that show up in that box over on the left. I've yet to locate a master FAQ thread that explains them all.

There's seemingly not much method to the madness.

It is a typo. It should read: "Supper.. 'Member?"

LOL that makes a lot more sense now. I do feel rather peckish.

I think someone should point this out to my girlfriend. Sometimes I think she takes certain physical parts of myself much too much for granted.

Then again, it's not polite to point.

Wear a gourmand scent on it. That should take care of it.

Sorry to necro the thread, but does anyone know if/how you can add or change your status? Is it granted by admins for good deeds?? It's very unimportant but I've noticed 'Super Members' with a lower post count than me and wondered if they knew something I didn't!

Cheers.

You can change it anything you want (within reason, of course!) by going to Settings ... on the left side of the page, click on Edit Profile ...edit under Custom User Title.

Thanks for replying, however I do not seem to have that option. Is it only available to bnplus members perhaps?

I think only BN Plus members can edit it, though...

That answers my last question, thanks. I just can't figure out why there are people out there with < 200 posts and Super Member status and yet I remain title-less. I stress again that I don't really care, I'm just curious and was beginning to wonder if I'd upset somebody!

Haha, don't worry - it's nice to know I'm not the only one who's confused! Nearly 270 posts now, 20 or so reveiws, log in daily and I'm still not a Super Member so I'm still none the wiser as to what the criteria is!

Glitch, I think-- I've seen others who are inexplicably without a title.
