Hello everyone, I just made an account and this is my first time posting here.

I've been looking into higher end colognes lately, and I think most of you will agree that Chanel makes pretty decent stuff.
Anyway, I took a look at a few of their products and I was wondering what you guys could tell me about the following 5 fragrances:

Allure Homme
Allure Homme Sport
Antaeus
Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentrée
Égoïste / L'Égoïste

What is the purpose of each, which would you wear on certain occasions, etc. This is probably a lot of work to the average person but someone who is familiar with these scents could help me out with great ease.

I'm looking for something that one would wear on a date, if that can get us started on the right track. Thank you very much for your time!

If none of these are good "sensual" cologne choices, please let me know.

I voted for Egoiste but I also quite appreciate Antaeus. Personally I don't choose my fragrances for a certain occasion, I just wear them according to my mood.

Pour Monsieur Concentrée is fine but I prefer other chypres.

From this list, Antaeus and PM Concentree are my personal favorites

Welcome! It may be helpful to check out the reviews on each. You can also find an endless amount of info on each by using the search function.

Enjoy.

Antaeus and Egoiste are my favorite from Chanel range. I love to use them anywhere anytime

No longer dating, but if I were, I would wear any of the ones on your list.

Hi Jeremy,

I voted for:
Allure Homme Sport
Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentrée

because they seem the easiest ones to wear. I think both Antaeus and Egoiste are more sensual, but they are also more on the extreme side, and both can be a bit suffocating...

I used the original Allure as my signature scent for years and that would work too but it can be a little too sweet.

And thinking of it - Allure Homme Sport might be too common. Go for Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentrée!

Realistically you could wear any of them on a date and they would work great, but none of them would be what I would choose to wear as I own better options. I think the fragrances you listed range from too casual (like Allure Homme Sport) to too serious (Antaeus) without any hitting that warm, romantic vibe I think you'd be looking for (or "sensual" as you put it). Something like Body Kouros by YSL I think you might like if you're just starting out as it's very wearable and it's inexpensive (~$30 for a full bottle online). I find that gourmands work best on a date, so just do a search through the forums for gourmand fragrances like Le Male, Pi, HM, A*Men, Dior Homme Intense, etc and try some of them out to see which you like

From your list, only Antaues and Egoiste/Egoiste Concentree are worth owning. Forget the rest.
