I don't know what Guerlain put in Samsara, but when i tried it Saks Fifth it made me feel all weird emotionally. Whatever Guerlain put in Samsara, it's a creepy feeling. Does anyone else get that feeling with Samsara?

Interesting. Could you elaborate on "creepy", please?

Creepy??!? Perhaps the scent has triggered some past memory buried deep in your subconscious? Have you experienced this feeling before around some particular person or place? We all know that scent can have very personal associations.

Personally l find Samsara deeply calming, comforting & addictive. "Creepy" is the last word l'd use to describe it.

I use Samsara EDP as a room spray sometimes. It gives me vivid dreams.

I see a lady dressed in red when I smell samsara. I think it's samsara... That's what I meant by creepy

Many of us have had visual images conjured up by fragrances; in your case you may well be remembering the ads for Samsara, which featured a lady in red. The power of suggestion, perhaps? l still don't get why this feels creepy for you, though.

There are two video ads I love the first version better:

Samsara of course essentially means "the cycle of reincarnation" and sandalwood is said to have psychotropic effects. Perhaps the Original Poster had a flashback from a previous incarnation, or even a future one.

OK, I've got to go grab a quick spray at the mall now. Can't wait to be creeped out. I've sniffed it before, but never had that effect.

Guessing if I spray on a load of it and stroll around at the mall I'll creep out some other people, too. Cool.

Samsara is lovely.

To the O.P, what else creeps you out?

I really think you're right about a buried memory. It may remind him of somebody at a subconscious level. This could even be a person he is or was fond of, but disembodied from the person, their scent can seem - well - creepy.

PS - Samsara always gives me positive vibes and images of exotic women. Not creepy for me.

Not just with Samsara, but with almost all Guerlain frags I honestly get a (not necessarily unpleasant) feeling of unattainable beauty, so flawless, it's nearly extrasensory and hard to encompass by the human mind
