What would you wear out of these? My first post!!!

Hello, fellow Basenoters! I know this question is sort of played out, but I would greatly appreciate the more seasoned members opinions on what you would recommend I wear to a friends wedding this weekend. Late September, New-England, Fall weather. (a.k.a. RAIN) Church service, then the usual indoor dance party. I bought some decants this past week, and have started the process of becoming a frag junkie! I've been reading the basenotes forums for a couple weeks now, and have come to realize that I still have MUCH to learn.

My choices are:

Terre D'Hermes
Santal Noble
Tam Dao
Rose 31
Black Aoud
Bulgari Black

I'd defo wear Rose 31 to a wedding. Would suit the service as well as the party

+1 Bulgari Black. I would like to recommend Terre d'Hermes as it is my personal favorite (and certainly the one I would *want* to wear), but the wedding situation does not seem to mesh with it, IMO.

Any one but Tam Dao (which is great, but just not for this setting). But if you go Black Aoud, make sure to apply it a few hours before you arrive.

Terre D'Hermes if it is Indian Summer
Rose 31 if it is cold and raw and overcast.
Santal Noble for all other weather.

That's weird. It's late September here too!

I would go with either Terre D'Hermes or Santal Noble. If it's a day / night thing, I would take the decant with me to freshen up later on...

I seem to be the only one, but I'd make the case for Black Aoud. It's going to be a little strong at the beginning, but weddings require something strong because they're long, you're going to move and dance, and so other frag may be gone too soon.

Besides, weddings are also occasions to wear grand things, whether clothes or perfumes. A wedding with an aquatic or citrus is like a wedding in chinos. I've been chastised before, but I absolutely believe that the bride, who is the center of the attention, should wear industrial doses of Amouage Gold (man or woman).

Terre d'Hermes is a nice all-around scent.

There is no "primer" on what to wear to a wedding, as long as it does not detract from the solemn and happy occasion.

I haven't sampled Rose 31. I really find Santal Noble and Tam Dao both boring to the max. So I guess maybe Rose 31 or Bulgari Black. Black Aoud seems like an odd choice, although I really like it. Somehow I don't think it would go with the mood, but in the end, its all up to you.

Terre d'hermes is great cologne for rainy days. This cologne is transparant, warm, so pleasant n comforting. You n everybody around you will enjoy it. The more you spray the more it smell nice. 6, 7 sprays won't offend anybody.

Any suggestion is l'homme ysl, another masterpiece for rainy, cool day n you meet many people from children, tenage n older people will enjoy your nice scent.
