PG Querelle = Creed Bois du Portugal?

I am sampling Parfumerie Generale's Querelle, and I am very much reminded of Creed Bois du Portugal's drydown.
Do you guys see the resemblance too?

Absolutely not. They are miles apart, IMO.

Both great, but have little to nothing in common to my nose. Even though I suspect almost nobody will agree with you, you shouldn't feel bad for posting. All of this is a learning process. If I posted my views on a wine forum right now, they'd eat me alive, but I am interested in learning! :-)

Also, it's amazing how subjective our perception really is. Associations can be triggered by every little detail and are powerful enough to twist and turn everything around. I made the bizzarest connections already just to be completely puzzled by them the next day. It's part of the fun though, if you ask me.

Well, now that it is drying down, it has moved apart from what I thought was very similar to BdP. But during the first hour or so, I found the cinnamony woodiness very similar to BdP. I know I have an untrained nose, but that is my impression.
Someone said on another post that Querelle would be a sure bet for Creed lovers, and I am pretty certain that they didn't mean the fresher Creeds (SMW, GIT, MI) by that, so I believe that I am not the only one smelling a resemblance. But then again, it may just be a matter of personal perception.

+1. -Querelle is more like a refined "niche version" of Paco Rabanne pour homme.

Funny, because PRPH was one of the two or three perfumes I used to use before getting into fragrances big time. I may have a little remainder somewhere at my parents'...

Both great but different IMO.
