Dior Eau Sauvage or Eau Sauvage Extreme ?

Looking to get this old Mans grandpa scent - remember it from when I tried it 20 years ago. Back then it was not my cup if tea, but still remember it and would like to test it, but couldn't find any testers in my local area as it's kind of an old frag these days.

I remember the scent as having an herb & citrus top and middle and then turning into something more spicy basenote. I could remember it wrongly though

Is the extreme version just longer lasting or different ?

Any fans out there at all and are any of younger than 30 ?

I am a fan of both. Extreme to me is a bit different than the regular in what my nose picks up, but it definitely lasts longer on me.

So which one of the two is your fav and why ?

Keep in mind that the older version of Extreme is very different than the new one.

The older version has similarities with the regular Eau Sauvage, but the new version is more of a fresh, fruity fragrance, nothing like the original.

I would skip both and go for the regular Eau Sauvage.

I'd have to choose Extreme for its longevity.

But according to the other poster, extreme is different from regular Eau Sauvage, do you find that to be so too (other than just longevity) ?

I prefer the regular Eau Sauvage because I think it smells better. Longevity for me is good enough.

I am 30, so not sure if I qualify? ;-)

I like Eau Sauvage. Have come close to buying recently (I also love the bottle!), but I'm trying to keep my collection in check - I've done a lot of purchasing recently. For me at the moment, it's too close to AdP Colonia, which I own gallons of, to justify a purchase.

the Original version smell way better ( compared with the extreme version) but last a moment.
the extreme version has a dark-fruity and creamy vibe that could result annoying but last much more.
On the other hand, I love eau sauvage fraicheur cuir but its longevity is a shame.

I'm 18 and I love Eau Sauvage. Actually, I prefer the vintage stuff as it's a little stronger, longer lasting, and the citrus accords aren't as flat, but Eau Sauvage still smells good, and like itself. Judging by Dior's recent sub-par reformulations, though, I'd get a bottle now because any day they could majorly fuck it up.

I haven't tried the Extreme version, but if you do like Eau Sauvage but find it lacking in longevity, try Monsieur de Givenchy.
