If my memory serves me correctly, this would seem to be a good choice for the cooler months as a fresh, energizing scent? Am I right?

For me my choice for the cooler months would be Burberry London.

I've always thought of New West as a good scent for warmer months.
I don't like fresh scents in cool months - the weather is fresh enough for that.

New West can be worm all year long. It is not overpowering but it last a long time. It is a fresh scent, but there is not a rule that says you can only wear fresh scents in the summer. Wear it and enjoy it.

Chuck - I think it would be fine in the South for fall/winter. It's not your typical "fresh scent" - it has a lot of nice spices that sets it apart.

Thanks, Joe! Lamp?

It's "amped up" with the same molecule (or similar) you find in Baldessarini. I prefer Baldessarini, but that molecule is too much for me, due to it's "synthetic" quality and how it deters note separation. It's the kind of thing that pushes me away, whereas other frags with similar notes let me in. I'd go for Grean Jeans or a few others before I even thought of NW, but if you like that molecule I supposed NW could be a favorite.

Did you see this at Marshalls for cheap?

I think it'd be a great choice for Fall/Winter.

I agree New West can be worn year round. While there is indeed a lot of calone, it has a lot of substance. I've actually had several people tell me that it smells like incense or a head-shop which I don't really understand.

Smells like a lighter version of Yatagan, IMHO.

I agree. Lighter and fresher-smelling to me, but with enough substance to be a good choice in cold weather.
