Who knows. Maybe Kouros?

One Man Show. If you're wearing this, then you really don't give a damn what anyone around you thinks haha
post #4 of 148
kouros!! Nasty boy!
Fahrenheit, I don't know why but the thought occured. I'm, however, also supportive about Kouros. M7 also falls into an alpha male category to me.

The powerhouse Alpha Male: powerhouse classics like Chanel Antaeus, Versace l'Homme, Trussardi Uomo

IMO- Worth Haute Concentree pour homme. I find this not only absolutely beautiful but full bodied, leather and moss. I wish I knew the rest of the notes for this one. An outstanding masculine!

The fragrance you're looking for must definitely have the notes: confidence, success and power.

Pure real black musk spanks everything else in a most unapologetic and domineering manner. It will also last for weeks on clothing.

It seems to me there are three different types of answer to this one, depending on the way you view it:
1) Sweat - a real alpha male does not need to wear fragrance, he just smells like a man
2) Classic macho-style fragrances with lot's of oakmoss, dark woods and so on
3) Something utterly feminine that says 'I'm so completely confident in my masculinity that I can wear any scent I like without fear of compromising it"

So far most people seem to be voting for option two . . .

Cannot believe a thread on Alpha-Male scents can get 35 replies without reference to the beast called Quorum!

I don't think so. The only way he will project his presence is to be unwashed and project a smell of stinking sweat. It won't go down well in a business environment. In a social environment, being unwashed doesn't go down well either - shows his ignorance of basic hygiene, and lack of refinement in failing to use the most basic stuff like Brut or Old Spice anti-perspirants.

If he does wash and is clean - well, that's the smell of any man - no projection, nothing saying "I'm here", which isn't the characteristic of what is commonly thought of as an alpha male.
Regards,
Renato

If you have an old bottle of Quorum (like my old 30ml bottle), you'd be right. If you have a new bottle (like my 100ml bottle), well it's a much tamer scent.

i like your option 3. i am 39, not gay but, love florals. might as well smell what i like and, since im happy with myself and life, my attitude makes whatever i wear alpha male.

if you want to project manly and your not an alpha male some scents listed will scare you(they demand attn). confidence is very important! that being said if you can pull off a real musk oil or oud oil, congratulations you are an alpha.

The serious answer is that being Alpha comes from the inside. It does not matter what fragrance you wear, what clothes or lack of them, if it is in you it still shows. If it isn't you can make a facsimile using scents and clothes that real Alpha's sometimes wear but it will be as real as a photocopy.

All-in-all it's best just to be yourself and let your own best qualities shine through, whatever they happen to be, rather than trying to emulate someone else's.

Its either Yardleys English Leather or B.O. (might as well be the same thing)
I like the idea of Derby or maybe Ho Hang Club or some other leather chypre.
An alpha male frag is whatever I tell you it is!

But really, I agree an alpha type personality would pick something unique that he likes and not be concerned with people's reactions. I don't think that necessarily means classic powerhouse, but probably not most mainstream designer releases.
