Replacement for vintage Carven Vetyver ?

As my husband just used his last bottle of the gorgeous Carven Vetyver can anyone suggest a replacement ? I tried Creed and liked it , Guerlain and found it wishy -washy . I used to wear Guerlains a few decades ago so maybe it's changed. So who does a Vetyver that is really good ?

Givenchy Vetyver

I second JC's suggestion but I'll add CDG Vettiveru as one of the best bang for the buck. Easy to wear, incredibly long lasting and very reasonably priced. If you're up for a more challenging price tag you could also give a chance to Sycomore or Vetiver Extraordinaire (smoky and slightly incensey the former, bitter and edgy the latter).

Thank-you both , I think I'll go for the Givenchy .

I recall the Carven being a citric vetiver. Therefore I would suggest either Tom Ford's grey vetiver (which is a bit darker and smokier) or what I would highly recommend as an alternative: Dior's Vetiver.

Givenchy Vetyver is great... out of all my collection it is this fabulous fragrance that I have torn through the quickest; I only have perhaps a 3rd of the bottle left and am seriously considering buying another.

I did just win a rare bottle of Floris Vetiver on ebay a few days ago (100ml for 36 pounds!) and I have to say that it is a light but deeply intriguing and beautifully refined vetiver scent.

I wondered about the Floris Vetyver , if I see it again on eBay I'll buy it . I did manage to find a Carven Vetyver with the wooden top ob U.S eBay and I ordered that as with postage it still only came to £23.00s . So husband can have the Givenchy , the Carven and one day the Floris ...I can get the benefit and wear it too.
