Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme, which packaging?

Hi Basenotes,

I want to get VCA pour homme, but I found two different kinds of packaging in the shop.
I was wondering which one I should go for if there is any difference?

I'm not sure what the difference is in the juice , but I have the one from the top, the only one I've owned since it first came out.

From my recollection (see link below) there was the original version then a reformulated version (your top photo) and then an improved reformulation that was to be a better version (ie closer to the original) which is the bottom photo (current release).

Me too. Be careful as VCA Pour Homme has been reformulated twice. It was originally released with the black packaging on top, then it was reformulated (polished and tamed down) but I'm not sure if they also changed the packaging. The second reformulation ended up being a complete flop so they decided to re-launch it on the market in its original formula. Kinda messy, but I really can't help on which packaging to choose...

I have the newest one (bottom) and absolutely love it. Also lasts forever......

Have one with gold lettering on the bottle (hard to tell in the first photo) if it matches. Curious about this one. Bought it on BN recently. Very soapy which I dont mind but ihave smelled a richer version at Neimans.

The juice in the bottom box was is the reformulation which returned VC&ApH very close to its original glory.
