My top 5 annoying words

1. Paradigm (just say 'model', please?)
2. Outre (now THAT is just bizarre)
3. Milieu
4. Weltanschauung
5. Albeit.

Like, totally, dude. I'm going outside to check my milieu and make sure the sky is still blu--er I mean azure; albeit if it is not, then a new paradigm could alter my gestalt into something outre and like, change my weltanschauung real good.

AAARGH!

Glass Armonica

Tarogato
Ondes Martenot
Viola d'Amore
Cornett

Dishonorable mention: Tromba Marina

These have all been successful instruments and are still played! There is some wonderful contemporary music written for the glass armonica and the ondes martenot. The viola d'amore is still widely played.

Top Five Severe Weather Advisories

1. Tornado Warning
2. Severe Thunderstorm Warning
3. Blizzard Warning
4. Tsunami Warning
5. Tornado Watch

Honorable mention: Severe Thunderstorm Watch

I love watching severe weather warnings on TV. I don't want anyone to get hurt, etc., but the TV coverage is undeniably exciting. It counts only if the storms are headed in your direction. There is nothing more thrilling on TV. The new "Tor-Con" ratings are pretty fun, but not quite as thrilling and vaguely threatening as a watch, unless the weather guys are freaking out and getting all excited over "Tor-Con 9," one of the higher-rated, more immediate threats. It gets pretty fun after that.
