Terre D'Hermes seems like a great fragrance for hot weather.

I am going to visite Hermès Boutique at Siam Paragon to try it.

By the way, I read that it has really sharp grapefruit top note, but I am not a fan of grapefruit.

Which Terre D'Hermes shoud I buy : EDT or Perfume ?

I will use it as one of my office scents. Anyone know if Duty-Free area at Suwannabhumi International Airport has it.

Parfum. It is mostly orange with little to no grapefruit. The EDT has the sharp grapefruit topnote.

Perfume

I agree with the others... Parfum.

I have both and agree that the parfum is the better scent. Both have an orangey accord, even grapefruit is apparent. However, in the dry down I get more woody notes with the edt. Try each on different wrists and decide would be my suggestion.

The perfume is less citrus-dominated

Parfum! Lasts longer, smells better!

Why get either if you don't like grapefruit?

I'd go with Byredo's Fantastic Man instead, it replaces the grapefruit with bergamot, but is otherwise quite similar in profile to TdH.

This is what I was thinking. If there is something you are not into, there are plenty of alternatives. I can't say it makes much sense to get a seemingly great fragrance that you don't love.

You have the point.

I have not smell any natural grapefruit yet. I have drunk concentrated grapefruit juice and I do not like the smell since it was really sour & sharp.

By the way, I am too bored to waiting for the flood at home so I went to Hermès Boutique at Siam Paragon in Bangkok (26-27 km from home) to test both EDT & Parfume. I found that I like them both, but I prefer the parfume.

Conclusion I don't like artificial grapefruit smell in concentrated grapefruit juice, but I found natural grapefruit smells very pleasant to my nose.

Is it possible to like natural smell of something, but do not like the artificial one ?

I wear Terre D'Hermès Pure Parfume right now and I love it.

If I did not test it, I won't know that I only do not like the artificial smell of concentrated grapefruit juice, not the natural grapfruit itself.

The funny thing is that the grapefruit smell in grapefruit juice is natural, while the grapefruit in TdH is likely mostly artificial, as real grapefruit has a tendency to sour on the skin.

The important thing is that you like it. And natural smells are usually different than real smells when it comes to fruit (grapes are nothing like artificial grape candies or sprays, same for banana, orange, apple, etc.) so it is very possible to not like a real scent but like the perfume ingredient version.

Hope it stays enjoyable all the way through.
