CK Crave-My scent during my days in the army...

Thankfully have no said memories to report linked to a fragrance.
None because I never linked memories to perfumes.

Retrospectively maybe that's not a positive habit.

I'd like to have linked my honeymoon perfume to my honeymoon or when my twins were born.

Im sorry for the bad memories but i guess im one of the lucky ones. I dont have any fragrances like that

#2 in the Big Pony Collection by Ralph Lauren. Like everyone else, I'd like to forget the memories this scent brings back due to an old girlfriend, but nonetheless I still wear it at night hoping I can extinguish the memories slowly but surely.

At least the memories aren't connected to Tobacco Vanille, right?

I was the school loner during all four years of high school--depressing! At that horrible phase of my life, the fragrances I wore were:

Polo Sport
Curve (Original)
Cool Water
Clinique Happy Men
Candie's Men

one million brings me sad memories too. sad that i actually spent money on it, that is. true story.

Polo reminds me of the end of the Jazz Age in the gay community. It was being used heavily when AIDS hit, and I associate it with that tragedy. A quality fragrance, a classic perhaps, but sad nonetheless.

I had this happen to me just this past weekend. I have several fragrances associated with specific eras/times in my life, all of which were good. However, I decided to sample Leau D'Issey from a magazine at the weekend (it's been maybe 10 years since I owned it), and my immediate thought/emotion was..... bad times!

That said, I still love the power of fragrance to bring back 'times past' in a instant.

Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme. I wore it out on a night that turned out terrible in more ways than one, woke up with a terrible hangover and could still smell it. Between the physical sickness I get from the connection to the hangover and the mental angst from the connection to the night before...yeah, I threw that bottle away and don't think I'll ever be able to wear it again.

Bleu de Chanel - it made me so sad when I smelled it.

None luckily.

Usually, almost any fragrance I own is connected, in one way or another to sad memories, but the sheer flawlessness of scents eventually always gives me the strength to somehow move on

Valentino Vendetta. Just broke up with my first girlfriend.

I recently fell for a Mexican boy who goes home to Guadalajara next week and takes my heart with him. When we got together I wore Tocade and Dzing! which I suppose will always remind me of him - he loves the way Tocade smells on me and Dzing! makes me think of his horses and horse brand tattoo. Seriously, I've got it bad. These are such happy scents to me and now they'll always be tinged with sadness.

I guess He Wood reminds me of this years summer fling. It doesn't bring back sad memories but it doesn't smell as good. Then again, it probably just smelled better in the summer.

If not then perhaps one should be more careful what scent to pick for this years autumn/winter fling.

Sure, i've got 2:
Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur
Lagerfeld Classic

That's why i won't ever use those again.

I don't know if it's a sad memory, but my mom died a few months ago and she wore Shalimar from cradle to grave. We have tons of it around the house. That smell, more than any other, says "mom".

Most of the time a frag kicks up a memory, it'll be a female frag on a woman stirring up old memories. My own frags have usually, in the end, been linked up with me getting through whatever it was anyway.

For most people, smell is one of the strongest memory triggers out there.

Bulgari Pour Homme reminds me too much of my f*cked up first relationship (many years ago), to wear comfortably.

YSL Pour Homme reminds me of some coke addicts I knew, some deceased. It's a very sad memory.

Oddly, Woods by Abercrombie and Fitch. Back when it was new, it was great, mature stuff for a young man. I bought my older brother a bottle for Christmas one year, probably 1994. He passed away unexpectedly in 2007, and I found that bottle while we were cleaning out his house.

While the scent itself doesn't make me sad, seeing that old, half full bottle does. Reminds me of happier, more optimistic times.

Une Fleur de Cassie -- it's the smell of my cashmere sweater after a night out on a freezing winter night in London in 2008. It was the best vacation I ever had, and sadly I know for a fact it will never be repeated because most of us drifted apart since then

curve reminds of a lot of Bullshit with my ex
