Aquolina Blue Sugar, worth buying if...?

Thread Starter
I already own Rochas Man, Avon Tomorrow Him and Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin...I really like gourmands, is this worth buying even though I already own bottles I believe may already smell like it?
Cheers.

If you like a sugar shock, then definitely get it.
IMO no.
I was also wondering same thing. Many said it was close to A*men
post #5 of 28
It's so cheap, don't see why not. It surely delivers what the name promises.
You should get it. If you want something like this in niche form, I'd say get "Love: Don't Be Shy" from by Kilian, however, it's more comparable to Pink Sugar than it is to Blue Sugar in my opinion.

I'm a HUGE lover of gourmand fragrances as well, while many are not. I know there are several more gourmands out there to choose from other than Blue Sugar or the overrated/overhated A*Men, so research and test things out. If you find anything interesting, please let me know as well!

It's available for £5.65 from cheap smells. I wouldn't buy it for much more than that. I paid six quid something for it. It's a "fun" scent IMO. Not something i'd wear if I knew I was going out anywhere that day. Even shopping.

This post made my stomach turn.
Its different from the fragrances you listed. If you want as mentioned above "Sugar shock", or your stomach to turn (as it did mine). Go for it!

I say no. Blue Sugar is a good bang for your buck, but you already own better fragrances IMO. I like Animale Animale too.

+1 ...

I own Rochas and LLaM and Blue Sugar is different enough to warrant a purhcase. I love BS though I must say I hardly wear it. Get it if it's cheap.
I love Blue Sugar so much. The sillage is incredible. I can smell it on myself all day and normally I never smell a perfume on me. It has a similar smell to LLaM but the latter is more sophisticated. I also own Pink Sugar but I prefer Blue Sugar.

With Blue Sugar I definitely recommend testing it on your skin rather than paper. On my skin I get more of that sweet sugar with some caramel...on paper I get black licorice from top to bottom and it's sickening. Personally considering you can get a big bottle of it for under $20, I say go for it if you enjoy ultra sweet candy-like fragrances
post #15 of 28
I'd say GO for it. Blue Sugar smells nothing like the others mentioned that you have. I enjoy wearing mine year round...
Is this awesome to wear for late night formal events, or more for clubbing? Would you wear L'Instant Extreme for both types (clubbing and formal events) over BSugar any day?
How sweet is this compared to A*men? or lolita lempicka?
It is way sweeter than A*men or Lolita Lempicka. I prefer Blue Sugar but it is obvious it isn't as well crafted as the other two
you mentioned.

I got free sample from FragranceNet and if you don't mind smelling like Pilsbury Cake Mix than it's worth buying
post #20 of 28
I like sweet a lot bu this one I just can't take it, makes me puke.

Worth buying imo. Different enough from A*Men and LL. To me it's the most perfect rendition of burnt sugar. Dry down is similar to an extent to A*Men.

sounds good if drydown is delicious like A*men

Seriously for $30 or so it's a great buy if you're into gourmands.
no. sickeningly sweet, pure cotton candy.
its dirt cheap, but very annoying super sweet synthetic scent. Fragrance.com use to throw blue sugar samples in with your items. I like Pink Sugar on women, but the Licorice note is annoying in blue sugar
post #26 of 28
It's worth getting if you are in the market for a mega-sweet licorice fragrance. It's not bad, and it's pretty cheap as well. I like this one, but not enough to buy a full bottle of it.
its only 20$ on ebay for a 3.4

oo guys i thought the same when i tried it the first time but give time to gro on you,

first time when i tried = i hated
second time when i tried = i fell in love
third time till now when i put on = i still love

Believe me you will love it !!

for example i dont like A*men because there is a note which give me a headache !
i want to love it but i cant !
