Encre Noire or Patchouli 24.

Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme defines dark, deep, and mysterious. It's the polar opposite of today's popular ephemeral aquatics.

Encre Noire is a given, but I'll also add Bvlgari pour Homme Soir. Transparent black tea. Lovely.
Nothing mysterious to Encre Noir, imo.

Jean Marc Sinan - VO
Etro - Messe De Minuit

Very dark, and gives me an uneasy vibe although I find it totally unique.
YSL M7, but only the original formulation. I think it's partly because of the real Mandrake Root, that's an incredient in it, i don't think it exists in any/many other fragrances.
Maybe I don't have the same sense of "dark" as many of you, but I don't find M7 to be dark...just delicious! Nonetheless try to find a vintage bottle of M7 and maybe you will find it dark and fitting.

Agree about Black Aoud, Encre Noire and even Black Orchid. How about Bvlgari Black too?

Esencia Loewe

The darkest fragrance I've smelt was:

Messe de Minuit: sadly those assholes at Etro have fucked it up. Sorry for the profanity but they are indeed ginormous assholes.
