Tobacco Vanille in Warm Climates

Hi

I finally managed to have a sniff of Tobacco Vanille and I absolutely Love it! However, I live in Thailand where the climate is warm. Does this mean i can not enjoy this beautiful fragrance? Should I stay well clear of it? I have read reviews that state that Tobacco Vanille is a winter scent and cannot be worn in warm weather. Thailand has no winter

I would appreciate any experiences with owners of Tobacco Vanille who live in warm climates Can it be worn without becoming too cloying and taking people down??

It can be worn in any season, like any other fragrance. I love in Florida, and wear it with no problems.

It may not be the best choice to wear to go play beach volleyball. But if you are going to be in a temperature-controlled environment, then it really doesn't matter what you wear.

Don't listen to reviews (some people act as if they are out in the harsh weather conditions 24 hours a day). Wear it and decide for yourself.

look at the bright side, it's not like you'd be choking people out with Le Male or A*Men.

At least you choking them in classy manner.

You can wear it light.

I would stay well clear of wearing TV especially in the Humid heat of Thailand as you will find it really cloying. Obtain a sample and try, you will see.

One of the reasons why although I like TV I'm not buying it, as I know it will be impossible to use when I go back to Malaysia. Even at nights, in an air-conditioned ballroom of a 5-star hotel, it is still bloody warm and not to mention humid. Totally different from the 'warmth' of summers here in UK or even US.

Try it and make your own judgment about whether it's cloying.

I wear it in Las Vegas in the summer. I limit my sprays to 2.

I live in Florida. I have sampled it once at Neiman Marcus and I wouldn't wear this definitely on a warm weather.

Do you hang out all day in Thailand or are you inside working all day in air conditioning or do you just go to a movie inside sometimes? If so then you can wear it indoors or really I would wear it in warm weather as then I could really smell it on me and that's why i like perfume so I can smell it.

Be careful with the spray, just that and enjoy it with health.

I can stand TV in summer better than any other citrus fragrances. I get easily cloyed with citrus or aquatics. Don't have that problem with TV.
I wear it year round in a hot, humid climate. No problems here.
No problems here also, in slightly similar climate to Thailand's.

Before I bought my bottle, I tested Tobacco Vanille along with Back to Black last summer. TV did very well and didn't get cloying in the 90+°F weather, while BtB's honey note turned sour on my skin.

I think it would get tedious and unpleasant in the heat. Try it and see for yourself, though/

100% This!
try it out
I wear a*men during the blazing summer heat with 2 sprays with no problems .

I suspect TV should not be a problem while applied light.

But as others mentioned, try it out ...

I live in a warm part of Australia and find it very easy to wear TV at the hight summer.

+1! I too live in Florida, and, I wear it at least once a week. I have no issues wearing it in the heat.

People get too bent out of shape about "can I wear this in the heat/day/night/summer/winter etc."

I wear TV to work. I just slightly change my approach, and wear 1 spray on the chest. It doesn't get cloying or overwhelming, but it maintains a nice subtle presence over the course of the entire day.

I worn it once to go clubbing and it was really a bad idea...
I almost vomited on the dance floor . I think the Tobacco is so boosted with the Vanilla and it gets really, really too overwhelming.

+1 You gotta adjust the number of sprays just like you adjust what clothes you wear in different seasons.

Dear God I couldn't imagine TV in a warm climate. I can barely tolerate it in a cool climate such as the UK. I had to scrub this after twenty minutes as it was making me nauseous. I couldn't even contemplate wearing it on a hot day.

This. Just if you are going to be outside or in a warmer environment, go easy on the sprayer as it can get cloying if you overspray.

I found this to be pretty helpful. I hadn't considered that I spend most time indoors at a temperature that allows any fragrance. Definitely was worried as a Floridian if some scents would be off limits until your helpful tip in another thread.

For me, as long as I'm indoors, it doesn't matter what I wear regardless of season. I do think outside on a hot summer day that this could be a little overbearing for me personally, but that may not be the case for you.

Come to think of it again...

I think TV is ok for warm climate / hot places.

BUT it is NOT ok for hot AND crowded places.

Thanks for everybody's input

I have decided to purchase it. I like it so much. I was not planning on wearing this in the day. Only on nights when i know i will be in the safety of Air Conditioning. and i will only be using 1 spray! or maybe half a spray lol

Congrats!

P.S. I always use 1/2 (half) sprays with TV.
