Holiday scent for Thailand....any ideas?

Hey everyone,

I'm planning on travelling to phuket over the summer (Australian summer being December) and I've heard that the heat and humidity of Thailand are insane !!! I just wanted to get some ideas as to which fragerances really do well in the heat and humidity without being cloying.

My favourites are all gourmands for the cooler months ( Ambre Narguile, A*Men, Dior Homme etc) and so I know I may have to purchase something new altogether.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

I am a native Thai man and I had been working on Samui island.

These are what I would like to recommend for our climate.

- Creed Virgin Island Water - great for an island holiday

- Creed Green Irish Tweed

- Creed Aventus

- Creed Silver Mountain Water

- Bond No. 9 Bleecker St.

- Cool Water

- Dior Homme Sport

- Dior Farenheit

- Chanel Antaeus - just kidding

Citrus, fresh, green & aquatic fragrance works really well here.

Anyway, you can wear anything that you like, but sweet scents can be cloying so easy is hot & humid weather.

Acqua di Parma Colonia would be a good one to have handy.

It's pretty breezy around Phuket though, no big deal compared to summer in Oz. Grab a bottle of Lauder Brasil Dream for Men if you see it at the airport - it's a modern and quite authentic take on a bright, herbal chypre accord (including oakmoss) and works well in the tropics. Ignore the image on the box, this is an interesting anomaly, a sort of young, modern retro take on a classic masculine from a couple of decades ago - fun stuff, only available as a Duty Free release last time I looked.

Thanks alot for all the suggestions guys. WOuld rive gauche ph really go well ? I've only ever smelt it once and thought it had a really unique persona but i realy cant remember the details of it. Would be pretty interesting to try it again.

I'm pretty tempted just to take my HM bottle but even that has a bit too much of a blackcurrent/foody vibe to it.

Also, I was just thinking if the duty free would have some of the rarer fragerances that i just cant seem to find anymore like A*Men pure malt and some dior homme intense......i just cant help myself......I love the intense edibles ahaha.

thanks alot guys

Versace Man Eau Fraiche
Cool Water
Gucci Sport Pour Homme
Ladyboy by B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful (Gorilla Perfume at LUSH)

Sorry, couldn't help but mention a scent called 'ladyboy' for someone visiting Thailand. That one was obviously meant as a joke.

Virgin Island Water, for the daytime. For night, Aramis Bermuda Tonic.

Chanel - Allure Homme Sport ... I dare say it is one of best, overall, summer fragrances ... a fantastic journey from its sharp, orange, citrus opening, through its imaginative, peppery, neroli and cedar heart, thence morphing into its exquisite, creamy and sexy, white musk and vetiver base ...

i was actually thinking of one of those higher tierre summer grade fragrances. Normally i myself would'nt go anywhere near a summer version of any fragrance but i find myself drawn to both chanel allure sport as well as more recently, Dior Homme Sport. What do you guys think between these two? Im just a bit worried about the sharp ginger in Dior Homme sport but i absolutely love the scent.

Have you considered Jo Malone Lime, Basil + manadarin layered with Pomegranite Noir. The other suggestions are great BUT the last thing I want to be reminded of on holiday is the office!
