bottle looks awful

a grenade with the pin and all ...

tacky copy - shirtless model biting the pin ...
The notes for the most part sound very interesting, but that bottle looks retarded.
Looking forward to it.

Looks just fine to me.

I'll definitely give this one a try. The notes seem complimentary.
I think this is an important release for V&R. Antidote is an above-average designer fragrance IMO. This will show V&R's level of commitment & the direction it is heading.
I MUST try this one.
I really hope this isn't crap.

I am so fed up being intrigued by the notes only to smell it and realise it is nothing but another collection of poo notes mixed by a Capuchin monkey with a hatred for mankind.
What a bottle! Antidote is a really different & complex beast. Love the sound of this one. Can't wait to try it!
I love the bottle and the notes sound great. I hope I am not disappointed.
Oh, I can wait to try it. A number of other worthy candidates already available that I want to get.
I just laughed my ass off seeing and reading this! Antidote was so off the mark from the Flowerbomb universe and never met the expectations neither.

Now they are trying to tap into it with the most stupid name Spicebomb.....I think a little too late V&R.
Look forward to trying it. Thanks for the info.
How can one say the notes are exciting ? These same notes have been listed countless other times here ...... Bang..Visit ....Costume National Homme ......Atimo Salavtore Ferragamo ..etc
post #19 of 338
Looks good to me. I like all the notes listed.

LMAO That made my night

As for Spicebomb, I like the bottle, like the ad, but the name "Spicebomb" makes it sound excessively spicy (not a fan). I can just picture wearing it and having people say, "Daiiyaamm, that smells like a spicebomb," while you casually reply, "Well, yeah, like, that's the name actually."
To be honest, i look forward to this and hope it succeeds. V&R are yet to go wrong on a frag, IMO, even Antidote which i do not like so much, smell-wise, although i respect its quality. Flowerbomb is a fave of Wifey and i like it too.

I agree. Anything that isn't obviously a fresh woody-amber or aquatic is automatically dubbed to be "exciting" in the current environment. That said, I will give it a try. The quality is more important than the novelty.

exactly!
This sounds like their answer to Bang, down to the notes and the, uh, eye catching bottle. I love Bang, so I want to sniff this, but that bottle is slightly embarrassing.
Love the bottle though I would not take it traveling on aircraft just in case security think I'm doing more than just applying a fragrance to freshen up.lol
post #26 of 338
wow, pink pepper in yet another modern designer scent.

Yeah but in fairness Costume National Homme is a good fragrance :-)
Love the bottle/name/shirtless-guy-in-the-ad - can't wait to smell. I sort of was bored by Antidote.
Interested in this one.

I'm really starting to warm up to this bottle. At first I found it gimmicky and ill-advised, but the more I see it the more I like it. Of course, the deciding factor will be the fragrance...

LOL

Who would have thought!?

Oh, wait! How about TOO MUCH pink pepper?!!!

Sorry - just being a pest. I actually hope this is good. I didn't spring for Antidote, but I thought it was interesting, and I respect Flowerbomb. I look forward to the big sniff.....
I am pumped about this.....Can't wait to give this a test run!!!

When you order this online, you better hope they don't scan your package.

LOL! Man, there's gonna probably be some kind of TSA memo about this one!
Flowerbomb Extreme is a good V&R female frag that doesn't get enough love. Here's hoping that Spicebomb doesn't suck.
Definite try. Is that Viktor and Rolf sitting on the couch?
that bottle could cause problems at customs lol
post #39 of 338
Sounds interesting at the very least.

I love the notes, and I love the poster. Am I crazy when I see the bottle and think that SpiceBomb looks like Frederic Malle when it was young, full of strength and muscle? :P
post #42 of 338
l like V&R antidote and I think there is nothing wrong with their new fragrance!
Nothing new or special in notes but I think the notes are really good! specially cinnamon and tobacco which I love.
I like the bottle too!
I will try this guys

I am a huge fan of Flowerbomb and was greatly disappointed by Antidote. I wanted Antidote to be for men what Flowerbomb is for women. Could Spicebomb be the answer? Only time will tell...Definite must try for me.

Oh, you have nailed the nail on the head and it has burst forth with shit! Yes, another 'stinkbomb'.

I lost all interest when I saw the nose was Olivier Polge. Blah.

More notes and information on this is available at Fragrantica.

Its like when you visit a generic bakery and see beautiful pastries. You buy one and take a bite only to realize its full of sugar (white) and other unmentionables. Ill wait for a niche rendering thank you.
woo sick bottle.. def excited for this one
post #53 of 338
Loads more info about the release here: http://www.mimifroufrou.com/scenteds..._spi.html#more
post #54 of 338
I can't believe $95.00 for the large spray. I still feel this is going to be a very refined scent from V&R being more of skin scent - there is no way VR have the balls to create something with the heady sillage that Flowerbomb has for man.
I am hoping for a Man's version of Flowerbomb.....I still can't wait to sample this that's for sure!!!
Gary
Well it looks like this is going to be released on the 23rd Jan and is going to be in Harrods. I like spicy fragrances and this is on my radar to try in the new year. I just hope with a name like spicebomb that the scent lives up to it.
I am actually really excited to try this. Its intriguing to see how the male counterpart of such an iconic women's fragrance turns out. I am also starting to enjoy spicey and more "interesting" fragrances more and more, so I am pumped about this!

As a fan of spice fragrances, i expect that Spicebomb could be a masterpiece of V&R. Actually, i don't see too much interest in to create good spice fragrances, its all honey, chocolate, fruity or floral. I see a space to Spicebomb be a must have fragrance, despite dont have any uncommon note.

Well, the way is wait to try this! I hope it could be all i expect for!
I just wonder what side of "spice" this will fall on? Something unique and dangerous (see Mugler's Taste of Fragrance), or something that smells generic. Judging by the perfumer, I'd be led to believe it might be on the bland side.

Although, with a name like Spicebomb - it better be effing interesting.
