I see the 1 million, but it smells very, very different on my skin then 1 million on it's own... it has the aspects of 1 million that I like, the stuff I like from London and what I like from La Nuit. The TV drydown similiarity is true, but this has the "freshness" from 1 million that makes it a lot easier to use then TV I think.

I did get the "plum" vibe from this that I also sometimes get from Tv.

Hey guys, I haven't tried this yet. How does it compare to Opium by YSL?
Ok so now I'm getting a big Pure Havane vibe out of Spicebomb. It's a chameleon fragrance! Also the longevity is pretty sucky. It started off heavy for the first hour and then it died down close to the skin and at the 3 hour mark it's just hanging in there. Anybody else getting bad longevity?
I concur, the longevity is super weak on this the more I wear it - the only drawback.
i get above average longevity at around 8 hours but sillage is below average after 3 hrs. It seems to project very well during the first 2 hours then it significantly dies down. That could be a good thing because I plan to abuse this in summer but I do wish that it'd project just a little bit better.

Very different than Opium
mesa is right on with the 1 million comparison. Its close to 1 million and CK Shock. trying to get some of that 1 million money.
I did notice a CK One Shock vibe with this one too! I swear man, I smell a different cologne everytime I sniff Spicebomb. It's like it has different colognes in the breakdown rather than individual notes.

Spicebomb Note Pyramid:

Top Notes:
CK One Shock, La Nuit De L'Homme

Middle Notes:
One Million, Tobacco Vanille

Base Notes:
Pure Havane

Very interesting. Three of the most bashed and two of the most loved. I can see opinions being massively split on this. Personally I like all of those apart from 1 Million. Looking forward to sampling this.

Huhu! This thread is bombing! I've already forgotten the name of that new A*Men.
Upon further review, I find that Spicebomb has more of a Bubble Tape/Big League Chew gum smell while 1 Million has more of a Bubblicious gum smell.

I dont get that vibe at all

Me either. I had acquired a sample before it hit the shelves and then acquired an "official" post-release sample and the two fragrance samples smell quite a bit different to me. I didn't care for the first sample but really like the other. Wore some of the second sample today and I definitely get the Tobacco Vanille/Pure Havane vibe to go along with good longevity. If the bottle actually reacts like my second sample it is a definite buy.
I like this scent and I have worn it several times now. Good longevity for a designer fragrance and a very pleasant smell...I just think this is mis-named. Am I the only one that gets a Clean soapy smell, like some of the really expensive bar soaps? Where is the spice? OK, there is some spice, but this is not a bomb of spice by any stretch of the imagination... I was expecting something spicy and amazing from this, something that set a standard for a spicy mens fragrance. For me this is just OK and not something I will buy a full bottle of. Neither put off now wowed. Would not mind smelling this on others, just not for ne.
I think it smells pretty good but the longevity is a problem. For $95, I need a cologne to last at least forever.

I think this might be a scent where "mileage will vary." I get at least six hours.
It totally 86's the 1 Million smell during the drydown and gets a little bit of White Musk from the Body Shop vibe.
I think there would be a good market for a less fruity, longer lasting flanker. Flower bomb has what ? 3 flankers ? I think a longer lasting SPICE/tobacco/tonka/Vetiver/leather/musk-centric jet black grenade would do very well for Viktor & Rolf.

I've had to lay off wearing this one the last few days, however I really do like it. Longevity is also suspect for me however, I will continue to wear it and decide whether it is full bottle worthy. I am curious why they went with 90ml though.

I have to concur. It's just too much to wear constantly. I think my nose needed a little break.
I bought the Spicebomb body wash b/c I can use it on days I wear Spicebomb or Tobacco Vanille I should have bought the huge bottle of Spicebomb at the Nordstrom in town.

OMG! If this bottle flames it can destroy a whole city!

Took this pic tonight after cleaning my Ruger.

First impressions:

I sprayed this one on the back of my hand in a shop.
I like it and I needed to hold myself back to buy it.

This has a pantydropper vibe, imo.
It is a bit feminine or at least unisex.
It's sweet, I get some tobacco and cinnamon.
A bit fruity and quite powdery with a hint of freshness.
I don't get a lot of spices.
I can see that the perfumer behind this is Olivier Polge.

I was on the tram and I could smell it clearly, whafting off my hand.
A nice looking girl was sniffing around and standing really close to me to catch a whaft. At a point it seemed like she tried to sniff my chest.

It's a must try.

EDIT: In the drydown I get more spices and it seems to become more masculine.
This is a fragrance that shouldn't be overanalysed from smelling it up close.
The sillage smells really good. This shares the same sensual vibe with Vintage DHI.
So I got to sample this today.

Everyone who has said it goes from 1 Million (and a teeny bit of CK Shock) at the top and then dries down to Tobacco Vanille & Pure Havane, is right on the money, that is EXACTLY what I get.

I love Pure Havane, I can't wear TV (just too much for me, at least at this point in my life) and I am on the fence about Spicebomb...
Love Spicebomb! Longevity on me is actually pretty good, figure about 5 hours is what I can notice but I also noticed fatigue with this one, seems like my sense gets used to it pretty quickly but it is still pronounced to anyone I may pass. One sample was all I needed to have before ordering this one. Can't wait to get my bottle!

You've just described Gucci PH II without of course that gorgeous black tea note. So after reading some reviews and impressions I'm almost certain this shares a lot of similarities with the Gucci and is along the same vein only at a much higher price point. I'll be passing on Spicebomb since I already own and love the Gucci.

After all the solvent you used, make sure you treat your nose (and lungs) to some fragrance and fresh air.

Sniffing too many cleaning patches will cause brain damage with the solvent.

Mixed feelings about this one. I was really excited when I first saw the note breakdown but something is lacking in the execution. I guess I expected this to be a lot darker and richer. Instead it is a rather tame creature—overly smooth and sweet. With a name like Spicebomb, I was expecting a bit of an edge—a veritable explosion of some sort (spice perhaps?). Don't get me wrong, it could be worse, but it is absolutely nothing to get excited about and I suppose that's the problem. It doesn't break new ground or move the conversation in an interesting direction. It doesn't even offer an interesting variation on an existing theme. Instead it just sits there, poised to detonate, until push comes to shove and we find out its a dud.
Initial impression - not good.

Cloying. Do I dare say it - but is this a 1 Million ripoff a little bit? Bubblegum meets mild metallic spices? I will have to test it further, but my first impression is not a very good one.

EDIT - I see mesa mentioned above the 1 Million similarity already. Indeed.
Does anybody else get egoiste/1 million in the top notes? Or am I the only one?

Also, when do u think we'll start seeing this on discount sites like fragrancenet?
I get 1 million in the top notes and pure Havane in the dry down. I smell a lot of different fragrances in this one. As for discount, probably won't happen for a while.
Maybe it's just me here, but after an hour or so of wearing this it starts to burn my nose every time I smell it! I love this stuff, I think it's absolutely great smelling but man does it fatigue the nose. Definitely not one I can wear very often which is a shame.
Sampled it again today. It really does smell like lots of different scents poured into the same bottle; namely 1 million, Body Shop white musk and cinnamon/almonds/cakey stuff.

It'll be a hit because it's soft, rounded, sweet and will remind people of lots of different fragrances all in one.

I have noticed that Viktor & Rolf fragrances don't ever really get much of a discount. I'm basing this mostly on Flowerbomb, which is still a best seller, but they seem to be of the same mind as Chanel & Dior and don't seem to allow discounters to sell their fragrances for any more than a few dollars less than retail. Of course, there are always coupons on fragrancenet. Still, I wouldn't expect getting much more than about $10 off.

Using my discount on Walgreens.com will net me Flowerbomb for $67.50-$108.50, so overall a pretty good discount. Now whether or not they'll ever get Spicebomb remains to be seen.

Tried it again this morning, had to wash it off again after 2 hours. Wanted to like this one, very disappointed.

I did the same thing the first time I tried it. It was the second time I ever felt compelled to wash something off (the other time being a mishap with WAY too much Devin).
Ok... I bought a 2.5ml sample and tried it for 2 days. I liked it, but it wasn't enough time to tell if I want to take the plunge and open the bottle my girl got me. Does anybody want to sell me a 10ml decant? I'll provide the bottle

I completely agree. The name and bottle design are both very poor and do not speak to the nature of fragrance in any way.

Several Gucci Pour Homme 2 references in this thread. That's one of my top 10 of all times. Hmm...may have to try this one this weekend!

For tech fans, cleaning is part of the fun.

I actually like the bottle of this scent--a semi-auto with the name "Bulletproof." The scent is actually quite good and a bargain at $36.00 USD for 2 oz of eau de parfum. The number is "45," for good measure. Maybe a 380 for the ladies?

I think $95 for this is out of line, but it's a nice departure from the endless "fresh" "clean" "water" fabric softener scents all over the mall. For me, the longest lasting part of the scent is the spicy tobacco vanilla. The scent I own that is closest to this is Eau de Baux from L'Occitane, but Baux kicks Spicebomb's ass for projection and longevity. Baux lacks several elements Spicebomb has, but many of those disappear after drydown.

I also expected a much stronger spice component here, but am still happy with the end result -- just not the price tag.

My trick for getting this to last is to slather unscented lotion all over myself, let the water evaporate, and then spray Spicebomb. Spraying your shirt will also keep the party going. The same trick works to keep the pepper note working with Bang!

This scent seems to kick it up a notch in higher temperatures. If I work out with this on, I definitely notice it a lot more. It might actually be a projection bomb in summer, but I tend to shy away from tobacco/wood-type scents in the summertime.

In the U.S., this remains a Nordstrom exclusive, but I'm sure by summer it will have spread.

Wearing it today - good for a Friday in the office. It develops very nicely over the course of the day. I initially had concerns about linear development. Far from it. A very pleasant wear.

Fully agreed. But once the fragrance itself is taken away from that context, and is removed from it's awful 1million bubblegum stage, it's very very good for a designer release imho.

That too. More peppercorn and more SOUR grapefruit. (that unfortunately will likely come with extra bubblegum). all the fresh florals will be more apparent I'm guessing. Also hopefully alot of those wonderful piney/green/woody musks featured in Windsor and Original Vetiver.

You guys were spot on! For those that said this smells like Ck One Shock, you're right! I did get that in the top notes. You definetely smell the cinnamon in this. And yes, it does dry down to something kinda similar to TV. Someone else mentioned Eav des Baux. YupP It may actually be more similar to this in the dry down than TV! It's wearable, but the top is just a little too sweet. I would go for CK One Shock before I get this one. More bang for your buck.
