One of my first fragrances in the hobby back in the very late 1970's. You need to like Fougere's, but I always liked its simplicity. It's very green.

Pino Sylvestre is another, similar scent that's possibly a notch better.

Also remember this from way back. Never cared for this personally.

I didn't like it. But I don't like Pino Silvestre either.

It's not quite like any other scent I own. It resembles more a mix of citrus and green essential oils in water than it resembles a typical EDC or EDT.

When I first got it I wasn't too happy, as it didn't have much strength after about 3 hours. But after I started to liberally douse myself with it, with 10 sprays or so, I grew quite fond of it (and had to buy another bottle). It's good for warm weather, for example when going shopping or visiting someone for a few hours. And I figured that as it lasted longer than Eau Sauvage on me, it wasn't as annoying as I'd first thought.

I like it a lot more than I like the piney Pino Sylvestre, but Pino is definitely the longer lasting of the two.

If you do like it and want something similar and stronger, about two hours into it's drydown, Biotherm's AquaFitness started reminding me of Acqua di Selva.
Regards,
Renato

like most italian edc- too 'cologny'... i would say the spanish edc by puig are much better choice - aqua lavanda and aqua brava

I think it's an incredible fragrance, and one of my favorites. Acqua di Selva is one of the greenest smelling frags I know, and that's what I love about it. You'd better love oakmoss, though, if you expect to like this.

Lots of reviewers have complained about poor longevity with it, but I get a good 6 or 7 hours out of it with no problem.

a green scent with longevity issues ...

A wonderfully refreshing frag.
As noted above it is fantastic in hot weather, just keep a small decant handy, to refresh with.

I like its soapiness, its cleanliness, yet also its unaffected, effortless sensation of powerhouse manhood

Just got some of this and I'm enjoying it. The top notes are really bracing and refreshing. I'm not quite as fond of it after it dries down, but it's still pretty nice. Very much a poor-man's Blenheim Bouquet from Penhaligon's- but Blenheim maintains the sharpness of the citrus and pine longer than this does- although it is five times as expensive as well.
