What will people indulge in this month? Or with they save the pennies for other gifts?
My goal is to buy nothing in December and enjoy what I have.

A birthday-present-to-myself, this one just begs to be worn during the holiday season, doesn't it? A fun mix of cinnamon, spices and black tea.

I agree with AZsmells about not buying anything this month and enjoying my collection. However, it probably won't happen I bought at least 10 bottles of cologne in November including 3 discontinued frags, some backup bottles, and a niche. I'm going to start limiting my selection and buying only rare or niche frags for a while.

Not bad. I wish this was available at ASDA/Tesco like the original 24 for men (heavily discounted). I like 24 Gold and it's still kinda cheap at £24.95 for 50ml, but I don't know if I'll pay that.
I recently bought some cheap bottles of Lapidus PH and Ferrari Uomo. What the heck, they were less than 10 bucks each!
My goal was also to not buy a fragrance in December...but I failed and bought L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Extreme today. I liked the EDT so much it seemed, er, logical.

Thanx fragman,
I see you have Tonka Imperiale as one of your faves...what a terrific scent. It's gotta be the best gourmand scent

Sonoma Scent Fireside Intense in 34ml!!

Bought their samples 1 year ago, didn't really like them as I was starting off that time. Now that my nose is more 'trained' (relatively speaking anyway) I sampled them again just now as I was looking for an incense-themed frag, but I unearthed this gem instead

Thinking of getting Incense Pure next, what does people think about this compared to CdG Kyoto? PM me please so it doesn't disturb this thread

A couple blind buys that sound promising...

The Jewel of Micallef for Him and Spicy for Him, both from Micallef
post #27 of 472

Taken the plunge. Still not crazy on the top notes, but the dry down is too good to resist. £28 for the gift set so good value.

OMG. This is what I'm buying myself for Christmas (among other things). I love the explanation...something about the French proverb that if you can be on the balcony at Christmas, you'll have to have a fireplace at Easter. I know I COMPLETELY bastardized that. Enjoy, Mike!

I sometimes feel that way, but I really waste very little money. My one personal indulgence is cologne. I bought a nearly full 100ML bottle of Chanel Egoiste from a fellow basenoter. $50 for that scent at that price feels good!
-One bottle of M7 vintage -50 ml.- (Yes, another one).

-Two bottles of Rive Gauche pour Homme -125 ml.- (I´ll not pay the new bottle with less juice, with less quality and for an exorbitant price).

-One bottle of Nu Edt -50 ml.-

You should certainly love this! Congrats. It's one of my favorites, if not the favorite.

Having loved cologne/perfume all my life, but never venturing into niche scents, I decided to sign up for niche 101 and order a few Creeds bottles despite all the pros/cons and love/hate. Have a 2.5 of SMW and MI ordered today, a 1.0 of OS ordered a week ago, and got a 2.5 GIT last month. Wife getting me a 4.0 Aventus for X-mas. Now just how pathetic and fanboyish does that sound! Actually, I've only experienced sample of these but when the coupons for Black friday hit my email it was just to hard to pass up. All in all I figured 5 bottles for the price of 2 was an ok savings. Trusting D'dara, perfume emporium, and beauty encounter deliver fresh/legit goods as they are know to do.

Le De (vintage) by Givenchy. What a surprise. It reminds me of my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Schlatter. She was wonderful. The scent is much more floral than I expected but has a delicious bite and creaminess at the same time. Very cool. I hope the new version is half this good.

I am wearing The Jewel of Micallef right now... And liking it plenty. So far Micallef seems to be a consistently strong line... Only Red Sea has disappointed of the many I have tried so far.

Bel Ami is great, I have a couple vintage minis. Also check out Puredistance M, you can get a sample from luckyscent.

I just got 1 mL of Amouage Homage Attar in the mail! I love it, it's not exactly what I expected, it has a clean/fresh facet to it and the rose isn't as prominent. As a result it is more masculine leaning and wearable than I thought it would be. Good Stuff!

I am also waiting on a full bottle of L'instant de Guerlain Extreme EDP. It's a total blind buy but it was available and prices are going up so I figured now was a good time to order. Should be easy to sell if I don't like it...

Lumière Noire pour Homme

Sometimes I can spend weeks or months contemplating on whether to purchase a fragrance. And at other times I just pull the trigger on a wild gung ho blind buy like this one. Cannot wait to try it when it comes.
