Plum

Haven't seen a thread on this, but forgive me if i missed it.

Recently discovered I like plum as a major note. What plum fragrances do you like/recommend?

Very familiar with Cuiron and Voleur de Rose (and like both).

Cheers!

Montale Black Purple

Sonoma Scent Studio Vintage Rose.

Some mention smelling it in Michael Kors. Plum doesn't stand out to me so much as it's amongst the dried fruit notes. You like Cuiron so you should give MK a try.

Serge Lutens Boxeuses.

I get a strong plum note from Trussardi Jeans

Vintage Rochas Femme.

I, personally, detest plum notes in fragrances, so when I encounter them they usually ruin a scent for me. I agree with gandhajala, it's in Boxeuses by Serge Lutens.

Thinking some more, 10 corso como has quite a distinct ripe plum note.

+1 to Feminite du Bois and Rochas Femme vintage.
Creed Acqua Fiorentina, marketed for women but totally unisex IMO.

Mary Greenwell - Plum
Pretty expensive though..
+1 more on the Feminité du Bois, the plum-note here is very prominent!
YSL Opium (women's)
Femme (Rochas)
Talisman (Balenciaga)
J'Adore (Dior)
Voleur de Roses
I can't quite recall which one, but I'm pretty sure one of the Canali's or maybe a Paul Smith has a prominant plum note. maybe it's Canali double black?
The Feminite du Bois extrait.

I don't get plums in Voleur de Roses.
If you want to go for a cheapie that I sometimes see at Marshall's/TJ Maxx, Liz Claiborne's Lucky No. 6 features a prominent plum note.
ok everyone settle down, the self proclaimed plum expert is here. I too have a plum fetish, and what you're looking for can be found below.

Frank No.2

Biehl Parfumkunstwerke - AL02

half of the scents mentioned above smell nothing of plum, and some, some don't even exist. Canali Double Black? lol

listen to me Richard, that Frank No.2 is priced right at $65 for 65ml. only problem for you is it's out of stock 90% of the time.

7 Wonders Of The World by Eclectic Collections. Cheap as chips (extremely cheap) and comes in 100ml EDP sizes. Top notes include plum and it's is quite a natural plum smell.

Liasons Dangereuses By Kilian. Plum and Rose are prominent and well blended, making for a juicy, sweet rose. Very feminine, IMO. Like it but couldn't wear it, and I'll wear Voleur de Rose, Rose Oud and Lyric Man, so I'm not afraid of rose!

+1 on this.

Also the top notes of New York Oud have a prominent plum note as well, though they don't stick around for the full ride.

lol yourself, no need to be dickish about it. I meant Canali Black Diamond, but it's probably not the plum noted one I was thinking of. Anyway, everything everyone else says is wrong anyway right since you're the expert...

Serge Lutens Boxeuses +1

I love AL02, but I find it more a stewed fruit scent rather than fresh plum. That being said, it might be the best stewed prune note you've ever seen.

The Original by The Gap - very strong plum note plus leather.

hmm, is it stewed the way uncle Serge does it? If it is, I might have to try it.

Michael for Men (by Michael Kors)
Bois d'Ombrie (by Eau d' Italie)

I like them both.

Stewed the same way but not the same fruits. I once did some kitchen tomfoolery involving burnt sugar, apricots, and cumin and that sauce reminded me strongly of the Arabie accord. AL02 is more apples, pears, plums stewed with some cinnamon-clove combo. If you could extract the fruit from Fille En Aiguilles ( which strikes me as a sort of apple-steam note ), it's be the closest among Serge's line-up.

Here are my favorites that have a nice plum note:
Bond No. 9 - ILNYFME
by Kilian - Liaisons Dangereuses
Bond No. 9 - New York Oud
Bond No. 9: Andy Warhol. Plum, plum and more plum.
Bond No.9 has some dents with plum, but my favorite is the opening of NY Oud.

Im fond of plum too and am checking this out next week in London. Seems to be a main note.
Yep, Bond no 9 Andy Warhol.
Another one for Frank No.2
Boss Bottled has tad bit of a plum in notes composition and that shows on my skin. Amouage Silver Cologne is, however, another level and much more better and refined than the former mentioned.
Michael Kors, smoky boozy plum.
Took me a while to read a few NY Ouds, but the more I wear it, the more the plum sticks out. Also, Frank no. 2 as others have suggested.
