Mont Blanc Legend = almost same notes pyramid as Aventus ....

No i haven't smelled Aventus yet .

I tried Legend the other day and it gave me the Platinum Egoiste vibe , maybe due to the Geranium .

While i do own PE , but still there was something about Legend that kept me smelling my wrist all the time i had it on . I really liked it .

Beside the PE vibe, it also has that ashy (= cedar ?) pineapple note that makes it different and alluring.

I'm buying this tomorrow.

But my question is : do any owners of this scent find similarities between it and Aventus? just curious ...

Here's the link for the notes by the way :

Just a bit maybe, but in a whole Legend is a sweeter version of PE.

I didn't get too much of a similarity between Legend and either PE or Aventus, but it is a good fragrance in its own right!

I don't find any similarity between Legend and Aventus although I like them both.

A friend asked if i was wearing Abercrombie, I said Legend by MB. I haven't tried any Abercrombie scents btw.

To my nose, Legend is almost an exact duplication of Abercrombie's Fierce, which I own and like.

djbozz's message above confirms my opinion.

I agree. To my nose Legend = Abercrombie's Fierce

It is said that Mont Blanc's Individuel smells like Aventus.

I don't think Individuel smells like Aventus, but it is very close to Creed's Original Santal. I love both of these & may actually like Individuel a bit more because it stays sharper & more tangy/fruity than OS, which gets a little "lipsticky" in the base because of its tonka & vanilla.

To me it smells a little like Bleu de Chanel, but have to try again.

I own Legend and it is very close to A&F's Fierce. I've never tried Aventus though..

I need Heads Up on its Longevity, Silage and Projection.... Im Looking to Cop a Bottle.. Is it a YAY or a NAY
post #16 of 18
I agree it's just like Fierce. No Aventus vibe for me. I have a sample and my first impression is that longevity is average. I will give it another test today.

So let me get this straight....

Aventus = A&F Fierce?
Nooo... Legend = Fierce! It also smells almost identical to FCUK Friction which is a sweetened version of Fierce and Platinum Egoiste merged together. It amazes me that four different fragrances can share so many accords in common. Is there not enough olfactive real estate that fragrances should so noticeably overlap?
