Creed - Feuille Verte/ Feuilles Vertes 2006/2011

Hi everyone!

Regarding the fact that by now has elapsed quite long time since Ollie and Ervie
supplied us again with Feuille Verte, Feuilles Vertes or whatever, all of us has enough
time to get familiar with the 2011 re-release. Some lucky bastards have also an
opportunity to compare it to original 2006 bath. So, I would like to accumulate all
your opinions about 2011 release and your reflections about comparing it to the 2006
one in one place. Get this party started (let me start ):

I'm not a chemist or fragrance-specialist. I don't know how smells original 2006 bath of
Feuille Verte. For me, the 2011 release is indeed one of the best items in Creed line.
It's classic, it's classy, it has all the best from Creed's vintage arsenal. Crisp topnotes
reminding me a little Selection Verte, middletones resembling Aubepine Acacia and Acier
Aluminium and basenotes in style of Vintage Tabarome (without trace of tobacco of
course) is making Feuille Verte a true essence of a Creed's "vintage factor".

About longetivity, after few hours sillage seems to be quite small but as a "detect-with-
a-hug" scent it lasts on my skin for +10 hours easily. Anyway, you cannot expect super-
longetivity and sillage from such type of fragrance (Selection Verte, D'Orange Verte
and others natural greens you have to bid farewell very soon...).

After all, for me it's a winner. Nevermind how much I had to spend on collecting my own
flacon (Thanks Kron! ).

I don't know the original release either but I have the current one and it smells fantastic! My one, medium-sized gripe with it is indeed the longeveity. I get around 3 hours out of it (which means the time I can clearly smell it). I agree that it has that vintage factor and I can also see the associations with Cyprus Musk etc.. Despite the similarities in terms of greeness, I think there are worlds between FV and SV - Feuille Verte being superior of course.

I own the original release and have tried the latter release and I personally do not recognize any difference one way or the other.

I agree it is a great scent, the top is quite heavy however there is no question it is an extremely well made, green fragrance. I do see how people would not like it, as you will really need to appreciate fragrances to appreciate this one.

Whats the verdict on the new batch? Worth the hefty price tag? Sillage? Longevity?

I own the new release, and I'm very fond of it. If you're in the market for a super high-quality green fragrance, wrapped up in a luxurious, old-school vibe, then yes, go for it. Limited edition, high collectible value. A good investment, if you don't end up using it all on yourself. It's fine stuff.

I've been thinking about this one and yes, I'd use it all on myself. Hopefully it would last until it came out of the vault again. I'm still hesitant about the price though.

How does Feuilles Vertes compare to Chevrefeuille Original?

Feuilles Vertes is far richer and greener. Chevrefeuille Orginal is lighter, with a substantial licorice accord.
