Smelled Creed Royal Service today

What does $2000 a bottle get you? I wondered. The lady at the Creed counter in Holt Renfrew was very kind pointing out the various Creeds, most of which I'd smelled, but then pointed to a haphazardly labelled bottle "these are $300 for the 4oz, but this one's $2000, it's a limited edition there were only a certain number that were made" I immediately grabbed it and drenched a sample card in it, I got tons of Iris, Lavender, a bit of citrus, basically akin to the Prada soapy "Infusion d'Iris, d'etc etc" line. Very pleasant, still didn't like it as much as my favourites (GIT and Silver Mountain Water). But yes, it's a pleasant scent, not as harsh and soapy as the Prada, but no, I wouldn't drop $2000 on it I don't care if Queen Victoria bathed her knickers in it or whatever the story is.

I was not impressed, but I dont think that's the point with this one.

I enjoyed it, but have no intention of parting with that kind of cash for that particular scent. I thought it was respectable. I like the comparison to Infusion d'Iris - I think that's spot on. Something like that, with the coolness of Sel de Vetiver. I own both of those scents, so you can see where I'm coming from on this one.

Same here.

I saw this one in a glass case yesterday, signature and all...I feel truly blessed, but won't be purchasing a bottle in this lifetime.

the only way I would happen to get this is if it started to rain Royal Service and I was outside at the time with a cup ...

I wouldn't have wasted it on a card, Its a nice fragrance to experience on your skin. I was worried it was going to be 100% feminine but its very unisex.

Very pleasant but I can't justify the price either, Especially as the flacon in the UK is only 150ml compared to the USA one which is 200ml.

If I were a multi millionaire I wouldn't pay that. No fragrance is worth that sort of money IMO.

It is indeed a royal service for the Creeds, not their customers.

Never tried it, but I don't think I would consider a purchase at that price either

I have renamed this "Royal Lip Service". I'm not impressed.

Whoa! Why would they do that?

Own it. Love it. (not a millionaire)

BTW - I've also noticed that there's a mistake in some of their advertising materials regarding the size. There is only one bottle. Mine says 150ml and I think that is the correct amount. They need to fix that 200ml mistake pronto.
