New Formualtion Fahrenheit

My speculation about the fuss between the new and the old formulations of Fahrenheit changed dramatically. I compared them side-by-side and holy cow!..it's like they're 2 different fragrances! The vintage is definitely superior..smokey, animalic, greener, darker, sexier. The new formulation will certainly get its use during the summer months with the more prominent mandarin notes.

Two bottles of Dior Homme middle-vintage (year 2010)

Bought Fujiyama Homme at Ross tonight. It is very similar to Issey Miyake's L'eau D'Issey. Not only is the scent similar, the box and bottle are obviously styled in a similar fashion. The boxes color scheme and the bottle's shapes are similar to Mr. Miyake's cologne. It's actually pretty nice for $10.

It's not your problem, so I'm glad to see you aren't letting it get to you.

Twelfth Night gifts for my father and my sister:

-Angel by Thierry Mugler
-Pour Homme by Dolce & Gabanna

Dunhill Edition

The first fragrance I ever purchased at sixteen years old in 1987. And the last time I wore this was in 1989 so it has a lot of memories attached to it. I just hope any reformulation since then will not be so different from what I remember, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Ah those candles look glorious Pour_Monsieur.

Someone gave me an Amazon gift certificate for Xmas, so I got this in today:

Luxury Sandalwood Cologne by Taylor of Old Bond Street

I have heard good things about this one, and it was so affordable.

I ordered a sample of this just yesterday. I had a chuckle at this review on Amazon UK :

'Kind of old school barber shop smell, perhaps thats why I fancy buying a straw boater, striped jacket and singing acapella'

I like it but I can't smell it after 1 hour which is unusual for me. I really can't justify the purchase. The SA gave me some extra carded Royal Oud samples. They have your name on it.

Crap! Now I have to get that one, too - that bottle is too cool. I recently saw a new red leather jacketed EDT in Paris - called Cuir d'Habit edition, I think. Do you know if that one is the same formulation as the current glass EDT? I would assume so, since they are both on sale at the same time.

Went to Le Labo in Los Angeles and had a 50ml ROSE 31 whipped up!!!
LOVVINNGGG IT!!!!!
Well, after fragrancenet cancelled my Bond No. 9 New Haarlem 50mL purchase, I went ahead and ordered L'Artisan - Tea for Two (100mL ) on the 50% sale, and used the remaining $$ to buy samples of:

Puredistance - M
Amouage - Jubilation XXV
Comme des Garcons - 2 MAN
Comme des Garcons - Avignon
Tauer - L'Air du Desert Marocain

all from Luckyscent, and then a sample of Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille off of ebay.

I think I'm happier this way anyways. And my order of Serge Lutens - Chergui still went through yesterday (with the 20% off fragrancenet) I love deals and new scents!

Feuille Verte (10ml decant) by Creed

Wore it very briefly yesterday and it's super old skool. Reminds me of the vintage Creeds in terms of style. For some odd reason, it reminds me of Kouros. Not bad, I like it. Need to finish my 10ml decant and determine if I want more.

oldies but goodies..
