Creed GIT: Need help determining if fake

I'm new here so I don't know if this is the right place to post this. If it's not I'm sorry. Yesterday I picked a bottle of what I think is GIT for a great price. I'm not to familiar with what the packaging should be or what the bottle should look like so I was hoping that I could get help determining if the GIT is real. I'm leaning towards fake right now because the labeling seems different than usual and because of the white spray head.

Looks real. Hold your led light from your phone behind it, if the bottle has a purple tint to to it, it's real.

Thanks for the help. Just checked and it does have a purple tint when light is put threw it.

It looks like a fake to me:

The crimp is different around the metal rim
The cap is wrong and the atomiser spray nozzle is the wrong colour and the internal should be clear and not white.
The Black Creed on the front has been painted by a 6 year old
And the moulding of the bottle is incorrect at the base

When you take the atomiser top off is there a white plastic bung surrounding the spout or is it black metal?

Yes, we need a pic of the spray mechanism itself. It's the go-to determining factor if it's fake or not brotato. Also, that white sprayer hole is a little suspicious. As are the larger Creed embossments on the sides of the box.

White plastic is around the spout.

I'll upload some pics in a few.

Yeah OP more pics, cause now I'm second guessing myself. But to me the cap looks very real. Also my sprayer on my GIT looks almost like someone colored it with a magic marker. Actually half my creed bottles have bad paint jobs and bad sprayers and they came from Saks Miami and Creed Botique. I just bought my first from fragrencenet the other day and was shocked it was real. Also look on the bottom My Creeds have like ovel lines on the bottom if that makes sense. After you collect a few you. An just feel them and tell. And of course, to me, nothing else smells like Creeds. In GIT case (im not good at separating notes)Does it smell like a natural gassy grassy smell?

Thanks for the help everyone. It's nice to know for sure that it is a fake.

Where is it from and what did you pay? What does it smell like? Have you ever tried the real thing? Sorry for all my typing errors but I'm using my phhone to respond.

Sorry to hear you got a fake. Send that puppy back and get one from:

fragrancenet

I bought it from a local perfume store in Florida. I've never shopped there before and they were selling it for $40. I thought it was worth the gamble. Oh well. Win some lose some. Guess I will have to get it online from the sites mentioned. I would of preferred buying it at a store but Neiman Marcus is selling it at a ridiculous $285.

Can't you take it back to the store and explain what you have learned? $40 is still $40.

I've been told that, if you see a bottle under $100 it's probably fake. If you're looking to save some money, maybe you can join in on a split. Normally it's around $100 for 50ml

The bottles with the fake juice inside are molds created by the dodgy pirates themselves. There are quite a number of differences that give it away.

From what I've been told the fake bottles don't have the purple tint you see when you shine a white LED torch through a genuine bottle, I'd imagine the OP was just mistaken in his estimation of the bottle colour as the fakes are smokey black.

Thankfully these fakes are dead easy to spot.

Pretty sure its illegal to sell fake fragrances, walk in there and demand your money back.
Do not give up $40. Go back to where you got it and get your money back! Tell them what you learned. They knew it was fake or else they wouldnt have sold it for so cheap. Do not let them get away with this. Tell them you are going to call the cops because they are selling counterfeit products.

They will probably give your money back with no hassle and then it will be up to you if you want to report it so they stop selling fakes.

A few more dead giveaways: Francois Joseph on the box is misspelled as Francdis, and the "c" is missing its tail. The bases of the feathers on the crest are too thin, but the major giveaway has to be the sprayer, which is all wrong. I do wonder if it's full of Cool Water or something, it wouldn't be bad if it were, that's worth more than $40 for four oz.
Do the fakes have the 8 digit serial numbers?
I don't recall hearing of serial numbers on any of the fakes extensively documented on many threads here.
