Best Tobacco Scents Out There

Hey guys, I'm a big fan of frags that contain tobacco. Whether it's one that is tobacco-based or one that has a subtle hint of tobacco, I'm a fan. What are some of your favorites??
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille - smell it, love it.
Franck Olivier is a good one IMO.

Unfortunately, I paid to participate in TheSnooc12 aka Toons1200 Tobacco Vanille Split and he never made it happen after accepting money and refused to return funds. The guy is a real disgrace to the Fragrance Community.

Anyway, I digress. I still plan on purchasing TV.

I really like Tobacco Vanille's opening burst of tabacco, it actually smells like a freshly opened pack of cigarettes, it was so great of a tobacco burst!! But unfortunately, the tabacco begins to vanish after an hour, and ends up with a dried fruit and prunes accord, whoever said "prunes" in the review is dead on, i drink prune nectars and eat the dried fruit on a regular basis, and the drydown of TV reminds me exactly of that. I'm not sure if it's the best scent overall in terms of tobacco, as a scent in general it is absolutely breathtaking, but i'm sure there are better tobacco frags out there like the ones mentioned eg Dreamer, Vintage Tabarome, Havana, DG Pour Homme......etc

These are sold as women's but many men enjoythem:

Molinard's Habanita: tobacco with powdery florals/vetiver and leather

Caron's Tabac Blond: leather and tobacco with iris
post #26 of 157
A lot of great choices here. I'm also a big TV fan for tobacco, but another option is Mona di Orio's Vanille. It doesn't list tobacco at all in the notes, but the overall vibe is very much one of a mellow pipe tobacco. Not tobacco-centric, but very nice.
Here are really good tobacco scents. None of these fool around. You want tobacco, this is it

Meerschaum and also Tobacco & Tuille by Liz Zorn
Tabac by AbdesSalaam Attar Profumo
Tabac Aurea by Sonoma Scent Studio
Versace Dreamer, Herrera for men, D&G Homme and Creed Tabarome Millesime are the tobacco scents I use most.
Annick Goutal Sables has something in it which is also in packets of roll-your-own tobacco.
Regards,
Renato

Tea for Two
Tobacco Vanille
Vintage Tabarome
Cuba (Czech & Speake)

Tabac (La Via del Profumo)
Acqua di Cuba
Chergui - Can be cloying with too much heat and movement but is the best one for smoking a good cigar in the cool outdoors.
Santa Maria Novella's Acqua di Cuba is, IMO, as tobacco as any frag can be.

Well, I'll second that but I thought The Gentleman's Quarter had shut down, so I don't know where to find and sample their Black Cavendish--though I'd very much like to.

As to the estimable Buzzlepuff's recommendations, Tabac Aurea by Sonoma Scent Studio is the only one of the three I've tried. It's an A+ scent which smells like tobacco leaves being cured in the sun. Not quite my thing ( I'm still looking for a good pipe tobacco frag) but it is unquestionably an A+

Cheers,

Mario

Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille and By Kilian Back to Black
post #40 of 157
My vote goes to The One Gentleman D&G, Back to Black By Kilian and Dirty English by Juicy Couture!
I've been enjoying Tea for Two lately - dunno where that came from. I quite like Back to Black, and I like SMN Tobacco Toscana. Some people have commented that Immortelle de Corse has a tobacco thing going on, and altho I don't read it as tobacco it's a nice one, too. I need to explore more tobacco stuff.

Kron currently has a new split going on here of interested: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/291...m-Ford-Xerjoff

His feedback and reputation appears to be flawless so far.

Tabac Aurea has lots of fans, but I don't like amber. So you should still plan to sample.

A humid tobacco, my SOTD, Fumerie Turque.
Caron's Tabac Blond (also a wonderful leather - and having a note of smoke, as though trailing from a lit cigarette).
My favorite fragrance with a tobacco note is Versace Man (the original purple one-- not the eau Fraiche). I personally love this one and like it a lot more than their other tobacco fragrance, Dreamer. The tobacco note in Versace Man is more subtle, and it's mixed with a really nice soapy/floral, grape powder type scent. It's a really unique fragrance that doesn't smell like anything else and is often overlooked. I think it's been discontinued, but can still easily be found online.

Another fragrance with a tobacco note that I enjoy is CK One Shock.

Wow thanks guys - so many suggestions. You guys are awesome. I currently own Pure Havane, Dreamer, D&G Pour Homme, Chergui, and love each of them. I'm gonna get to work n start smelling these. I'm probably going to start with Tobacco Vanille, Back to Black, and Tabac Blond.

Consider Romance Silver (Ralph Lauren). I say this just to give you another -- different -- suggestion...

Tobacco Vanille (Tom Ford)...of course. It was love at first sniff, for me.

Tabarome Millesime (Creed)...has an old-school, gentleman's club, stuffed shirt, vibe.

I actually own Romance Silver - and I like it. It's a very underrated fragrance. The reviews on here are very favorable, tho.

One I find myself drawn to, which surprises me, is Tobaco Latino. It's sort of like a less "masculine" B*Men with a good tobacco note. As it progresses a mediocre sandalwood note emerges, but the tobacco is still there. I find that if I get some on my shirt and spray one or two more times than usual, it works very well. Some have said it is like the "poor man's" Vento Canale, but I have yet to sample that one.

Tobaco Latino is absolutely the most realistic tobacco leaf scent available. Smells EXACTLY like the Miami tabaquero houses and blows mr. ford's tv completely away.

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

I am actually sitting here smelling it right now. I did a 50 ML split with MysteryofTime and it is gorgeous. There is a nice smack in the face of tobacco with a tinge of honey at the top then Vanilla comes into it about 15 minutes later. I swear I get an almost root beer feel after a while as the vanilla comes in with the sweet tobacco. I definitely see the premium in this Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. Its worth it if you love tobacco and a little goes a long way.
