Bath & Body Works - Warm Vanilla Sugar

So I went to Bath & Body Works to see what they had. I'd heard they sold EDTs and was curious.

The closest I found to Unisex here was their Warm Vanilla Sugar (White Citrus has a unisextop note of sharp citrus, but the white musk dry down is incredibly feminine). The latter (Warm Vanilla Sugar) has longevity and projection that would make A*Men blush, it's a frag bomb and a very pleasant vanilla scent. If you're a gourmand junkie, drop into a Bodyworks. The actual EDT is $28 for 75 mL but I bought the "Fragrance Mist" for $5 and got 8 hour longevity on it!

I have small bottles (8.5 mL) of the ladies' Twilight Woods, White Citrus, and Orange Sapphire. I think Twilight Woods is actually a great scent. I will definitely check out Warm Vanilla Sugar - thanks for the tip.

Have you tried the men's line? I like the C.O. Bigelow scents, especially Black, White and Gold. That whole operation is putting out nicer stuff all the time.

Totally missed the men's line, hmm I'll have to keep an eye out when I get back...

Yeah, they almost hide it. 95% of the business is the ladies, but they do have some men's stuff to keep the bros busy while the wife shops, or for her to make stinky-poo hubby smell better the next time he takes a shower.

The C.O. Bigelow selection is usually much more limited than what you'll find in Bigelow itself, but it's worth sniffing - especially if they have the three I mentioned. Bigelow has some nice shaving products, too. The BBW men's scents, however, are (JMO) not as interesting as the women's stuff. For instance, the men's Twilight Woods seems like "TWINO" - it smells more like a compromised version of Bigelow White than a true men's version of Twilight Woods. I'm not saying it's bad - it's just that I prefer the Bigelow scents. The bottom line is that BBW has been stepping up its game, scent-wise, and I'm quite happy about that.

I will have to check the men's collection out more thoroughly; I sniffed a few they had a while back and didn't like them. I have many bottles of lotion from their store but always buy from their regular, non-gender specific line. The Warm Vanilla Sugar lotion is good stuff, indeed, and not too long ago my partner got a glitter body spray from there that smelled somewhat similar to Pure Malt.

They do seem to be putting out better scents recently, and introducing more appealing sprays and some higher end lotions.

The Bigelow stuff, usually hidden at the back, is reasonably good but nothing special. It screams "barbershop" to me and is completely non-risky. But only buy when they are running the most aggressive sales. It absolutely is not worth the regular price.

The men's fragrances I have never liked. They are all completely ho-hum to boring. I find them way too simple, like something you'd find at some discount drug store for $1.99. The lotions are tolerable. Oak seems fine for fall and winter, Citron seems more suited to warmer weather. But again, these seem way overpriced for what they are, so only buy during extreme sales.

Twilight Woods irritates me and I am still not sure why. I guess I perceive it as a blend of two different scent elements my nose doesn't believe should go together. I tolerate the liquid soap bottle I got as a gift.

One of the better B&BW scents IMO

Many scents are wearable by both sexes, but one needs to get past the often girly packaging.

I use the body cream in Warm Vanilla Sugar quite a bit at bedtime. I love the scent and the cream is not too heavy but it's very moisturizing.

I have the body cream version of this stuff...I forgot it was one of my FAVORITE vanilla scents. I'm looking for a vanilla frag that I love and here it is right under my nose....sitting on my dresser!!! *lol* Will definitely give the EDT version of this a sniff soon.

Also , as far as the C.O. Bigelow section goes, I love their Menthe mint body wash. It's a personal favorite that I always keep a bottle of.
