Gala by Loewe...for Synch Friday
Gala Loewe was launched in 1991 as a feminine and sophisticated fragrance. Top notes: aldehydes, bergamot, green notes, lemon and rosewood. Heart: carnation, jasmine, lily of the valley, rose and ylang-ylang. Base: amber, benzoin, castoreum, labdanum, civet, patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla.

Castoreum and civet combination smells great(after a wonderful aldehydes opening)

Enjoy your day

Hi Sophi, hi all. Also in synch (aldehydes) with Chanel No 5.
So sorry my finger slipped and I seem to have double posted!!
I'm in synch too with Mary Quant's HAVOC created by Guy Robert.

Havoc is a mossy, green, aldehydic chypre with an aquatic floracy
about it. It does seem a little plasticky and over-sweet at the start
and is obviously not as well funded as Robert's other creations (Caleche,
Dioressence etc) but I love it nonetheless for the retro vibe it recreates for me.
Carnaby Street, Biba here I come .....

Hello everyone - today I'm wearing the lovely "La Rose de Rosine" and enjoying a crisp, very cold, sunny day here in England.

Good afternoon darlings.

N'Aimez Que Moi - Parfum extrait - 20 sprays. Half this amount would have sufficed, normally , but double that was needed to pacify my insatiable craving for it.
Good morning!

Sorry, not in sync this morning. SotD is Indult Tihota. Need something calming and good.
It's -13F and I didn't get any sleep last night, not a good combo to start the day. I hope
everyone else has a good day though.

Good morning all !. In synch with the floral aldehydes of Annick Goutal Folavril today.

Hedonist, I am always in awe when you speak about this particular Caron and how MUCH you love it.

K., we are at -3F, but still no snow to speak about.

As aldehydic as they come, Detchema.

Thank you again ((((dear BNers)))) for the kind congrats on my 4K milestone. xxxooo

Scent twins with Devilcat (and unwittingly in sync) in Chanel No 5.

Thanks Twolf. Sadly I am not in custody of the eloquent skills , like some of you harness - particularly le mouchoir de monsieur, to adequately describe the captivating charm N'Aimez Que Moi exudes.

I will though give Larimar, on a silver salver, credit for generating my interest in historical Caron parfums.

In synch with No. 22 a new love and new discovery for me in 2011 and my first (and only) full bottle of the exclusifs line.

Hedonist, love the way you revel in your fragrance passions! If 10 sprays are good, 20 must be fabulous! Spray on, sir!

Shades, hope you're feeling better.

In sync in Lancome's Climat today. You're all smelling especially great today!
Also in synch, and not even in a Chanel! FM Iris Poudre for me today.

Thanks PerfumedLady.

Funnily enough a man hailing from the Subcontinent of India complimented how good I smelled.

I asked if it smelt familiar and he said yes very much.
I said it should because it's a blend of sandalwood and roses.
Both of which are abundant naturally and used a lot in fragrance in that geographic area.

Happy 4,000 tdem.

I'm in MDCI Promesse de l'aube this morning. All this talk about Chanel is making me crave 31 Rue Cambon, so I will switch to that later on, so as to be in synch and in scent heaven at the same time. Take care, all.

I'm in synch today with Chanel no 22, but sort of wish I had picked something else. It's just not working for me today ... oh well.

Thanks, PerfumedLady, I'm feeling well enough to go out and pick paint samples. yuck. We have someone here replacing some bad siding on our house and I wasn't expecting him to be working on it this soon. I hadn't even thought about paint. I've decided not to change colors at this time, and just match what we already have: cream body with navy blue trim. (Who is surprised at the blue? lol)

Have a good day everyone ...

Not in sync today. I forgot. I'm wearing Bourbon French's La Pluie (thanks, Rtamara! xo). I'll sync up later, for the evening.
Hermes Jardin sur le Toit today. I am not sure if it has aldehyde, it is not fizzy smelling. Was going to synch in either Barbara Bui or Tokyo Mama Fizz, but forgot and this one is working well for me today, I smell good.

Good evening,
Had a rough day (business trip from very early morning until now)... perfumed the early morning cab with Caron's Pour un Homme. I need a bite now and some red wine. Hedonist, I am happy you are in love with this vintage style gem! I need something refreshing, so I will go with the pleasant lavender Jicky.
I am very impressed that the En Avion thread is unlocked. Really I am! Thanks!

Serge Lutens-Bois Oriental
Surging, throbbing waves of color
are the feathers in the woods.
These great wings of delight
carry me from tree to tree in a gust of
bronze and gold.

The cedars and the gentle pines,
caress the senses with smoke and
sap, coursing through their limbs.

Boozy, there in the sky, I am rocking
as the nest sways under the stars.

On a positive note, I just spoke to my mother who is utterly in love with the Portrait of a Lady decant I left with her over Christmas. "I just can't stop sniffing myself", she said. She's even been on the web to look at prices. Suffice to say, I don't think she'll be buying a bottle any time soon...

31 Rue Cambon tonight.

Take care everyone.

Ps. Great news about the En Avion thread!

Twins with Coconut in Fou d'Absinthe. I think I need to get Misterben to try this one.

Gandhajala, I tried PoaL for the first time last night - I think I'm in love.

I wish you were in New York, because I have a whole 50ml bottle of POL, that I love but my husband cannot stand...and I could easily give you more than enough for your mom. I cannot wear more than 1 spray per 48 hour period.
Anyway, let me know if she ends up in a POL emergency.

After the fracas yesterday, I am in Fracas. Happy Friday the 13th.

not in sync, wearing Obsession because it's so cold.

That's so sweet, thanks Fleurine. I may just save up the pennies and spring for a bottle for her.
Sorry to hear Mr. F isn't a fan - that's gotta be a tough one to negotiate. Still, I think you smell fab

Fleurine, any chance you could decant me some of that PoaL before you send it away?
Congrats Gandhajala on your 2000 posts!!!
Congrats Gandhajala!

Larimar, I hope you are relaxing now, back at home again, de-stressing.

I'm finally in sync this evening in First edt. I love this one, but I don't think I'm getting the civet in here that others do. Mine is a new bottle so maybe that's why. Still, it's very nice, and I'm not sorry I bought it. I love its seamless bouquet, sparkle and lovely texture.
Whew, I am glad to have my favorite sync going and a workshop I was giving DONE! Because of teaching hands-on activities today and running around I decided I'll test from dab samples. So I was in sync in Baghari during my talk, in sync in SSS Champagne de Bois afterwards. I'm ready to make it home, shower and wear one of my favorites to stay in sync.
Well, look at all the kind and thoughtful goings-on in here! What a nice place to be!
Congrats,G! We want (expect) many more of your posts!

Shades, I love cream&navy together. Nope, no surprise from you but what a nice combo!

Aww, it reminded him subconsciously of home. Sweet story! Scent is so emotional, even when we're unaware of the reasons.

Joining those remaining in Chanel tonight in No.5.

And thankful for the unlocking of the famous thread, which will keep our dear ones with us!
Congratulations, Gadhajala!

Posting late, but accidentally in synch with Chanel No. 5 eau de parfum. I just wanted a little glam after a hike up a dusty, cattle-occupied trail today.
