I was shot down with Sisley's Eau d'Ilkar.

I'm not getting my hopes high for this one.

Once sniffed, twice shy.

It will probably be a while before it makes it across the Atlantic.

Cool looking bottle, interesting notes, the name is awful though!

Anyone??
I heard it was being released in the US early March?

Hi all. Tried this at the Bijenkorf departmentstore in Amsterdam. I thought it was breathtaking, not in a nice way though. Remainded me a lot of Mugler's Pure Malt. Heavy stuff, I got hints of cinnemon and leather. Nothing green here or subtle: a little too heavy for.my taste...

Agreed. I am looking forward to this one now.

Pure Malt? I wonder if this is gonna be the next ridiculously hyped fragrance here. Looking forward to more information either way.

I received a bottle as a gift. I haven't given it a full wearing yet, but my initial sampling of it did not remind me of Pure Malt at all. It reminded me of some elements of Chanel Egoiste and L'Artisan Tea for Two.

More thoughts after a full wearing.........

Sounds fantastic Joe. Its really a bomb in projection and longevity, as we love?
it sounds better and better.
honestly the note list makes me salivate but I'll not have great expectations.
Hmm... Davidoff Champion / Mont Blanc Legend / Trussardi Uomo 2011 also have elements of Platinum Egoiste. Hope Spicebomb is note similar to them.
He didn't say Platinum Egoiste.
Interesting indeed...
I'm really looking forward to this.....Can't wait!!!
Gary
Wow... Egoiste and Tea for Two... hmmm, setting the bar high!
The plot thickens!
Anyone know when this will be released wide in the US?
Sweet peppery flowers. A bit sweet on the opening, but the sweetness quickly fades and drydown is very addictive. Really love it now.
Would safely say that it's unisex, but I'm a frag genderbender though.
Tested it on paper and the teststrip is still smelling strongly more than a day later, so longevity should be fine too.
Can't wait to test it on my skin soon.
Not getting the Egoiste vibe like petruccijc, but with the cinnamon / flower combo it does make sense.
Damn. This is sounding like a buy.

Egoiste sounds cool but Tea for Two worries me...that scent was too patchouli for my taste. Can't wait for the review update.
I unexpectidly got a sample this morning with a Harrods order and I've just put some on, I get the nod to Egoiste that petruccijc mentioned but it goes about it in a very different way as the opening hit of cinnamon and saffron compliement each other and you end up with a quite accomplished wheaty spicy scent thats very moreish.

Received a sprayed sample strip from harrods today, and on the strength of that have ordered the fragrance. Having got it on my fingers and wrist, it's unusual, and a contradiction in the best way.
At first I thought it was going to be too sweet, but then, seconds later.... A cutting freshness swept through, some familiar scents in an unfamiliar brew. I'm hooked.
This is not a 'safe' fragrance IMHO, rather, one for those who want something within the 'acceptable' range of edgy.
I need this stuff. Nowwww.
A few days later and the teststrip is still smelling strongly. It got better and better.
The spice is almost gone and what's left is a warm, deep and comforting smell.
Reminds me of something from my childhood that I can't figure out yet what it is.
Gonna visit the Bijenkorf here in town tomorrow and test it on my skin.
But I think I´m sold already...
I really want to try this, is this out to the masses?
Everything I read is making this more and more tempting....... shall I go for it...????

Yeppers and we mean this is the nicest way lol

The tobacco and suede become more prominent in the dry down.

Longevity and sillage are above average IMO.
No! Not one more for the wishlist!
I got mugged with this stuff in Harrods yesterday. It's quite pleasant but I then spent an hour wracking my brains as to what it was it was reminding me of...than I saw Petruccijc's comment about Tea for Two.

It does indeed smell like Tea for Two!

I agree - and it's a bit cheaper than the L'Artisan.
So for the people who have tried this whats the verdict?...... Is it a hit or miss.
Reading the descriptions, I'm sensing a more masculine Tea for Two...
I am eager to smell this.

Hit.

Tea for Two with more patchouli and an unidentified floral element. I'll have to go back for another sniff...
