A great deal for Creed Bois du Portugal fans

Was just on www.perfume.com and saw that they have a heck of a deal on Creed's Bois du Portugal. I've heard of BdP coming in 4 oz. sizes, but you typically see only the 2.5 oz and the 8.4 oz flacon advertised. But the perfume.com site is showing the 4 oz. for sale, and it is $26 LESS than the 2.5 oz.! I don't know if it's some kind of error they aren't aware of, or what, but that's what it's showing. (I suspect they have the prices inadvertently reversed.) And if you use their 12% off coupon (that reportedly ends today) of "Year2012" at checkout, it brings the final price for a 4 oz. bottle of Bois du Portugal down to $147.82! That's one crazy price for this cologne.

FragranceX.com also shows to have the rarely seen 4 oz. BdP bottle, but it's priced at $196.65. Use the "basenotes" coupon for 10% off.

Hmmm... a few years ago I noted that at Creed's own website they did not stock BdP in 4 oz bottles.

And it still isn't available from the Creed Boutique in that size.

Interesting that the perfume.com website only shows a picture of the 2.5 oz bottle.

Two theories: either very old juice; or possibly fake.

Can anyone else chime in on 4 oz BdP?

Not an error. Just got off the phone with them. They told me that they got a better deal for the 4 ounce from the warehouse where it comes from than the warehouse where they get the 2.5 from, and that's why the 4oz. is cheaper. So with the coupon it's a steal like you said!.

I have recently purchased one in Ottawa and it's the real deal. I paid $ 300.00 for if.

I recall BdP coming in 4 oz. bottles several years back. They're definitely older bottles if they're selling them here. Doesn't mean they're bad, though.

Well, if it's too old, send it back. They have the usual 30-day return policy. They allegedly have great service and are a very reputable site. They are in Canada but I believe their shipping is out of New York.

I imagine what they are selling and what FragranceX is selling comes from the same place and is likely the same age.

Did some more searching on this. There are reports that the 4 oz is available in the European market. Here's someone that recently got the 4.0 oz and it was from 2010, which is certainly not too old. The lot number checks out.

If you use coupon WANT15PER that will save you 15% on perfume.com

I've had very good experiences buying from perfume.com.. Never a problem with them, plus great prices too.

Almost too good to pass up.

I now feel a bit foolish buying a 2.5 oz of BdP for around $145 about a month ago. Had I waited, I could have gotten a 4 oz for the same price. Ah well, I guess it's like the stock market, can never tell what the price will be in the future.

Just received my 4oz./120ml today for $143 shipped. Now I can replace my 2.5oz in my collection and move it into my active use bottles.

I, too, appreciate the "alert" on this one. Am anxiously awaiting delivery. Thanks.

Congrats, Was it a 2010 batch like some of the other guys have received?

Got mine today, lot C3011S01, smells identical to my 08 batch. They even made the bottle classier by using a sticker that resembles suede rather than the clear stickers

FYI I waited for a few months for the 15% off to come back. Its been 10% or 12% lately, but perfume.com has a 15% again for July RECYCLE15. I was going to get the 4oz, but I went for the flacon instead got 199.75 shipped.
