Schools, Clubbing, etc. you might find it here and in other cities you may find a lot of people wearing it. But for me, It's GREAT and that's it.

I was just going to say ADG. It is my beloved and my first really nice cologne. I don't care who here hates it, it is a great cologne in every respect and it set the benchmark for other colognes to beat in regards to #1.

Ted Baker Skinwear - Dear me the amount of compliments i get at work is crazy.
Also a long gone scent but ive still never found anything like it - M&S: Detail. Its sweet, clean and has a nice dose of basil.

Hmmm, maybe Rousse. I think most test this on paper and think its just a cinnamon bomb but miss out on the lovely buttery/waxy iris drydown that far outlasts the opening.

Tous In Heaven Him. My favourite cheap fragrance. Great for summer without being the typical citrus or aquatic.

B*Men (sort of). I still need to test this more but like it so far. CutlassSupremeSL on YouTube was spot on when he said it reminds you of being hugged by an man when you were a little kid.

Baudelaire. I'm still waiting for suggestions as to what else this smells like. It's a nuanced and high quality fragrance. It's a shame about the name because I feel like it would get a bit more love if not for the preconceptions/expectations it creates.

Cedre. Maligned because it doesn't smell woody but it's glowing golden drydown is unique and lovely.

Z Zegna Extreme. It's a got a fizzy accord/feel that's quite unique. Another great cheapy with something a little different to offer.

Baudelaire shares a number of similarities with Dia Man to my nose.

Bang by Marc Jacobs. NOBODY here (or on Youtube) seems to like it besides me. I absolutely LOVE the stuff. So do women. Signature scent material.

Look past the opening!

Really!? I love Dia Man too and will purchase it at some stage but I don't get the similarity at all. Maybe I need to test Dia further.
Actually, Dia Man is probably another one to add to the list.

Aqua Di Gio was my first good fragrance too. To this day it reminds me of college and my youth. I don't own it anymore, but it holds a unique place in my heart.

Ambre 114 doesn't get much air time. Neither does Narcisco Rodriguez Musc for him and C&S Cuba.

I have one everybody pisses on: Ralph Lauren Romance for men. I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit it (what am I missing that all of these respectable people hate so much about it?!?) but I'll admit also, if it lasted longer than fifteen minutes on the skin I would actually wear it often. But it has the worst longevity I have ever encountered. It's weak longevity is without peer.

This one lasts 10+ hours on me. I like it, too, although I prefer Romance Silver with its grape/suede/nutmeg/tobacco/cypress thing. It kind of smells like cola to me.

Really? I'll have to do a side-by-side test because I've been testing Baudelaire quite a few times and it always reminded me of something but I've never been able to put my finger on what. Thanks for the tip, SOS.

I get a similar powdery vibe with a somewhat similar floral vibe (the orris in Dia to the hyacinth in Baudelaire) as well. They share some aromachem or two, or perhaps a major accord, because they both have something in their powdery floralcy that is distinctly unique and really rubs me the wrong way. That's the one good thing about my waxing and waning chemical sensitivities, it can help me to pinpoint similarities in some scents (or at least find scents that share certain chemicals). Of course, sometimes those similarities are magnified by the sensitivity, but I've found time and again that Baudelaire conjures up Dia in my mind w/ that weird powdery vibe.

Carrington.

Considering the popularity it enjoyed back in the 80's, it gets very little mention now. I love it for the memories it stirs and because there's nothing else that I've encountered that is similar. I happily display it next to my Creeds, Tom Ford Private Blends, Guerlains, etc.

I agree with you 100%, and that's precisely why I don't like Hei, it is like Aqua Velva.

Wore it today at work after it had been sitting on my counter for a month getting no love at all. Wow - perfect frag for a suit. I felt like the Donald in the boardroom. This has now replaced Eau des Baux and PE as my go to work frag.

I need to wear what I have more often. There could be other frags I change my mind on as well.

Right now, loving Cool Water, despite the haters.

Edit: And despite all my whining of late about how neutered Fahrenheit and other former powerhouse frags currently are, today Cool Water was God-like. Perfect sillage and projectivity for 6+ hours. And to think I picked up an old Christmas gift set at Wal-Mart for $20. Walks all over my $120 Fahrenheit.

Yes - me, I love it also -- it got slaughtered here didn't it?

I have also always loved Grain de Plaisir by Gantier -- the perfect mans fragrance imo but also didn't get much love.

Bulgari Blu. How I love its gingery, soapy, clean vibe. I'll never be without a bottle, and if I could wear only one cologne the rest of my life, Blu would be it.

I like the whole MPG's masculine line and also the unisex ones, especially the vintage formulations. Secret Melange, Centaure, Baime and others not so loved ones are all very high quality, interesting and well blended. Gotta love Jean Laporte.
