Issey is a Flower Bomb

Hey guys, so I just got a sample of L'eau d'issey pour homme, a very popular frag, I know, but i had never smelled it on myself, just out of the bottle, and I was really intrigued by the fresh citrus that I got from it.
Well, on my skin its another story, smells just like flowers with a hint of citrus. I think I could grow to like it but its not something I would wear.
What would you guys suggest for a slightly more masculine citrus? I'm thinking something like Abercrombie Fierce + Citrus or Versace PH with Woods instead of Calone. Any suggestions?

Terre d'Hermes is a nice combination of citrus and cedar

Have you tried Acqua di Gio? Extremely popular fragrance. You did mention Versace Pour Homme, which I find to be very similar to AdG. Lanvin L'Homme is also a fresh,clean, masculine scent. I also really like Carolina Herrera's 212 Men. Finally, I suggest Hugo Boss # 6 (Aka Boss Bottled)

Smell those out and let me know what you think.

Yeah I have tried ADG, its the calone that I'm not interested in. Same with VPH or even in Issey I detect some. I'm looking for a very dry, citrusy woods. I will try boss

Oh ok. Chanel's Platinum Egoiste is very dry. It also smells fruity at times. Have you smelled that?

a grown ups version of A&F Fierce to me (used to work there for two summers and pump this stuff all over the store basically day in and day out and i will never forget how it smells probably)
